he has scored 4 goals this season with alot of assists. As well Quaresma has stated its been his best season of his career. He has good shot of going to Germany this summer if he keeps up this great form.

I really hope Quaresma does go to NT but just because he plays for Porto and Scolari doesn't like that idea.

i wouldn't be surprised if no Porto players will be on NT.

I cant see any at all that will play for the NT. He wants them to play for u21's.

he wasn't called up I believe for Euro 2006 U-21, which is later this month.

Quaresma more then deserves to be on the national team, hes fast and very effective... the best winger in the portuguese liga this year, and one of the best portuguese wingers newhere, Quaresma and Ronaldo on a team would be very effective especially since they can switch whenever... but Scolari probably wont call him up... cuz he plays for porto

Season is over and Ricardo Quaresma was amazing this year. He won Best Porto player award and Best soccer player in the Portuguese League also

Well I'm about to go out, im actually responded to thsi half dressed( and no its not because I love Quaresma) but I need to rant a bit.

Scolari is the biggest moron that has ever graced Portugeuse soccer. Losing to Greece twice at home..TWICE is a shame. You'd think he would learn that the team needed some changes for the eworld cup.

Yet, yet, he calls a team thats vastly inferior to that of the euro cup squad, and he expects us to do well????!?! Viana to replace rui costa?!?! ricardo costa to replace andrade!?!?! boa morte?!?!!??!

What a joke.

Quaresma is a special player, many rate him higher then cristiano ronaldo, and im one of those people. To be voted on cl team of the week twice even on a ****ty porto team( no offense) and be the most fouled player in the cl group stages must mean something.

Hes a player that can come on and change a game in minutes like he did for Porto many, many, many times this season.

Hes a player that defenders are scared of whenever he has the ball at his feet, hes a player that turns a game on its head with one moment of brilliance, and hes a player that needed to go to the world cup. All he needs is one chance, jsut one chance. and that one chance wasnt on some ****ty half assed dogcrap field vs saudi arabia with most of the portugeuse midfield and attack being reshuffled at half time.

That chance is with the best portugal has to offer on the field, a clean good field. IUf he went ot the cup, and got subbed on he will make the mso tof it and probably comeinto the starting 11, that im sure off. Quaresma is the sort of player that needs a fire in his belly to do well, and thats the only thing scolari is good at doing. He jsutneeded a chance..but unless no one gets injured he wont.

And its a shame, a shame a player of quaresmas quality isnt at the biggest sporting event in the world. We will Regret not seeing him there...vs argentina in the round fo 16 losing 1-0 and boa morte will come on and change the game?!?! pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee dont make me laugh.

if he can't shine in the u21 category, for sure that he won't suceed in the ANT, like he showed in his caps so far

so what? isn't he a showboating player, who is recognized for being a very good dribbler? so he could at least build one good play by himself, he didn't even do that. Showboating players don't need teams to play well, they can create things by their own, and he couldn't.

lets base some more judgements on a player from one game some more..

everybody knows that he's a showboating player, most of his plays have dribbles in them, he failed 80% at least of his dribbles today, same like he did vs Saudi arabia

Exactly, Meireles played well this season but he played like crap in the game. Everyone in the game did, one game doesn't decise nothing.

but it's not just onem game, Quaresma failed in all his 5 caps to secure a place in NT, wonder why?
And about Meireles i wasn't expecting more from him, i don't rate him, he was lucky to have Lucho next to him, and Assunção covering his backs, Custodio is much better and complete player
