Everton 04/05 = Wigan 05/06 ???

WTF ? they are going at almost the same pattern .

Winning matches they don't deserve to win , nicking them 1-0 EXACTLY LIKE EVERTON DID LAST SEASON
Playing with a bunch of players who know what the are doing .

i am worried now , last night they were very convincing too !

They are real threats for champions league spot .

Looks like it's time for our sixth in europe

Give over.

I know why your drawing the similarity but I think by the time we hit January it'll all look a little different.

IMO we've had our mini fall

draw at bham
lost to chelsea
lost to Fulham

Not all in a row, but still pretty bad results they were.

Cant remember our fixture list of the top of my head but the rearranged arse match is the only 1 that really stands out in the coming weeks (unless of course ive forgotten about 1/2)

Everton IMO had a better team than Wigan have now.
Ill be VERY surprised if they dont start falling down the table soon

Me too, I can't be doing with watching teams play good football it makes me sick...

OK Seriously though I can only see tem finishing around mid table, but their season depends on their next few games and how well they bounce back from a string of bad results (if they have them)

A lot of people on this forum have been disrespectful. In the other thread regarding us, the Bolton fan sounds like a typical Notlobber aswell. And people in this thread are being idiots.

Why can't people accept we are doing well, we DESERVE to be where we are and there is a possibility that we will still be in this position come January. If you disagree you really don't know football.

Just because it's "Little Wigan" and you don't know our history and think we are small, doesn't mean we can't do well.

I wish this would get through to people. I'm sick of saying it.

I disagree, the squads are similar. Everton had one outstanding player in their team in Gravesen, and after he left their season collapsed, very lucky to hold onto 4th in the end. They didn't have a single good striker either, Wigan's are far better. They also have plenty of money to spend in January so you never know what will happen.

Isen't they called "Mini Chelski'"?

Don't they have a rather nice transfer budget? IF they are 2'nd they maybe can bring in some good players.

Ronaldinho for Wigan

Take no notice what the Bolton inbred said, bolton fans know nothing about Football, they'll be lucky if they finish in the top 10, I really hope Wigan do well this season seeing there are a few players in there team that used to play for my other team Tranmere Rovers

Wigan deserve alot of credit for the way they have started and to say they don't deserve to be where they are is just jelousy and disrespectfull. Thay have two good defenders at the back, full backs with bags of energy to go back and forth, midfield full of energy and good players and pace up front. That for me is the perfect recipe for sucsess the only thing they lack is some like ellington that can score more goals than roberts and camara will. i thought paul jewell was mad to sell ellington to west brom and to sell half of the back 4 that got them up to forest ( but also delighted at the same time). But he has looked at what you need to be sucsessfull (what i said earlier) and gone out and got it and for that i praise him

they will not get a point in the next 5 matches. So they will fall, this is when the slide begins, i still think they will go down.

They might not get a point in their next 5 games, but it depends on how they recover from that run of bad results. Whether they can get their self belief back, or whether they loose all hope. That is what will decide their fate.

i have seen them play 3 times now, and noticed that they are a hard working side who have made a good start. There is still a long way to go in this season. There squad is very weak and there next 5 games are very difficult. I think that they will not get a point from the next 5 games and then begin to slide. I can see there being a record number of points scored for the team that finishes third from bottom this season. It will be very close at the bottom.
