well i moseyed on down to rick coty last night to watch the Vandals. Support acts were Tsunami bomb and Audio Karate. Tsunami Bomb we great, lead singer is a looker too. audio karate were ok, but too poppy too blink 182 ish for me. the vandals were amazing, they put on a good show, the crowd loved it, and Punk rock was the winner oft eh day.
all in all, very good stuff

No such thing as punk nowadays
Punk was in the 70's & the likes of The Ramones & the Pistols must be laughing their heads off (if alive) at the so-called punk of today. It's impossible to re-create a time in history as everything is soooooo different today

ahh perhaps, but then define punk? essentially its about attitude and the attitude is similar. once you get past the populist pop punk of blink 182 and sum 41 and get down to the core it bands like propagandhi are more punk than any of the originals

nahhhh, its not pounk, too commercial, how can comerical bands cliam to be punk. they have to be indie, keeping it real, or at least with their own cool lable, like the vandals

The problem with Punk now is that too many kids listen to it (think the fake rebelious attitude is cool) and then don't understand about real music. Then eventually the whole music genre (guitar music) gets polluted by fakes and then becomes the new trend. Shame really because i used to like bands like NOFX and Reel Big Fish but even they have been commercialised.
I reccomend Snuff to you people, good stuff.

NOFX rock the world they really do, they are a great band who could have totally sold out and didnt. they could be blink182 now, but tepped back from the fold when they could have gone corporate
