Which team do you think is Bayern's worst arch rival....

Odd that so many voted us your "worst" arch-rival....It´s not as we see Bayern as more than sporting rivals.

For us Borussia Dortmund is our one and only rival...because of our sporting history, because of Westfalens history as well.
But mainly because we are the two major clubs in the area...

I think Bayern's main rival is who ever is second best that certain year! Right now it's Schalke, before that Bremen, and before that Dortmund! I think of all time Cyan is right, at one time 1860 was the better team but now with them in the second BL it's not much of a rivalry anymore!

I think you might have to specify if we are talking sporting rivalry or local rivalry..innit?

In Berlin and Hamburg there are fights between local fans every months, regardless of the fact that there ain´t no sporting rivalry at the moment.
It´s like asking a Juventus fan if Milan or Torino are their archrival....

Lets face it... every team that challenged bayern in any period of BL-history thinks they have a rivalry thing going on with them. In the end the only rivalry that will always prolong - for the Bayern themselves - is 1860.

But to be real quality of other BL clubs has gone down the drain. Dortmund is trying to save the club and season with youngsters and overpaid superstars(Koller, Rosicky), Leverkusen has not been the same since departure of Ballack&Ze. I believe that they played one of the best football in europe in "Ballacks" last season- 2000/01 or 2001/02
Werder sells its crusial team members every year. Some come back like Frings after failures at bigger clubs(did well at Dortmund), this year they lost Ismael. Only contestent for the BL tittle are Schalke and Hamburg. But i dont like Schalke, since last 2-3 years they have been buying players without any visible resoults. They bought Hinkel(not sure, before Stuttgart, still there???), Kuranyi.. let egoistic Ailton Besikats for only 2m€, while they bought him for 10 or so.. everyone could see, he aint that good!!! But they let HAnke go, or is he only on a loan spell at Wolfsburg scoring like crazy...
Hamburg got its big reinforcement Van den Vaart. In weird combination with bosnian Barbarez(has a german passport), Van Buyten they form untill now(bisher klingt 2mal besser) the strongest competitior for the tittle.

I like Koln, they have a young team, but if they relegate, they will probably sell their best 3-4 german players and will be swinging(from 2nd league to 1st, and from 1st to 2nd).. Hope they stay in the league...
