More venom in the tail for the ill-fated CL match between Lyon and Ajax: OL president Jean-Michel Aulas indicated the assistant referee had a nervous breakdown after the match.

"I saw the linesman cry in the dressing-rooms after seeing the action replay," Aulas said.

"We're not going to cry too, but it's hard to swallow. We'll keep dignified even though there will forever be a doubt about that goal," he added.

Lyon had a goal disallowed by the referee but pictures showed the ball had crossed the line by at least 25 inches.

Yeah I saw that, and this just further proves that an assistant ref behind the goal posts is a must.

I totally agree with you on thath one. It happens so many times in important games. A Linesman behind the goal would totally solve the problem. Something has to be done because it isn't fair when lower teams have good legal goals disallowed. Come the end of the season, 3 points they should have won against the Arsenal would have saved them.

Don't know what it's doing here either, but I think Leeds would beat Lyon or Ajax anyway.
