Everton in for Ferrari
EVERTON IN FOR FERRARI
(source: SkySports.com)
Everton are discussing a move for Roma defender Matteo Ferrari.
The Toffees, buoyed by their qualification for the UEFA Champions League, have earmarked the Italian stopper as a potential recruit this summer.
It is believed that Ferrari would be interested in leaving Roma after a disappointing campaign with the Giallorossi, and a new experience in The Premiership is likely to appeal to the 25-year-old.
The Algeria-born centre back joined Roma last summer from Parma along with coach Cesare Prandelli but his problems started after the manager resigned his position.
According to Italian sources, Roma are awaiting an official offer from Goodison Park and expect to receive between €4 million and €5 million for the player.
It is anticipated that the matter could be quickly resolved if the Serie A side manage to agree a fee with Toffees boss David Moyes busy trying to bolster his backline.
Danish star Per Kroldrup has already arrived from Udinese but Everton are still believed to be in the market for defensive reinforcements.

Great signing for Everton, along with Kroldrup he would be great.
