I doubt its just me, but are we all sick to death of hearing about our players in the town on the drink? Did u all notice how the media even tried to drag Dyer in to it!! Even on Sky Sports, every other bullitin seemed to be about what the club were doing about it etc.
Well, I hope after the w/e they will have more positive things to write about. Also, hopefully the players now have it in their heads how they should conduct themselves. I still think it has all been blown out of proportion. But they have to realise this will happen!!

It happened when we had Kk the press got on our backs about small things or even stuff that didn't happen. It all comes with being near the top and not being a team like Arsenal, Chelsea or Man U which all the press support

Ive said it before I will say it again the press are completly out of control. The things they will do to sell newspapers is a scandal. A word taken out here a word put in there can change everything, journalism today is not a noble art :mad

I think it's worse in the NE as well. As we all love football, any sort of new headline is quickly round Newcastle and Sunderland. This means it's then all over the phone ins and the really story doesn't have time to get out. This was true with the Bellamy story. Said to have pulled out out, kicked her and spat on her when in fact he pulled her out of the car and then left with the rest of the players. This story however has never once made it to the papers.

Good news apparently doesn't sell papers. Maybe one day someone will actually test this theory

I just find it really boring now, i used to stand in the local garage in my break, reading the NUFC stories, and they are just a load of gibberish, as nothing is anywhere near the truth, like, we all knew we had fuck all money, and then we signed JJ, and we thought, wow! and then some fuckwit in the press decided that we would sign ANOTHER def midfielder in the same 48 hrs, in Brett Emerton, I mean, it is such a load of bollox! Not even likely fiction! :no
I just ignore them all now, and get my info from NUFC.com, who ARE the best. :razz

Actually it's not totally untrue. The club were in talks with his club (still are) but they said he would decide is future in the summer and no leave in the middle of the season.

Remember what it was like in the summer? If we`d signed half the players they said we were going to, we`d have a totally different team, and a rather large squad!! Ok, some of it was nearly true (Zenden etc), but I`m sure, as previously said, they just think what might happen and print it. If it sells the paper then they prob think its ok. Nevermind about any damage it might do!!
Maybe the journalists sources are things like Teamtalk etc haha
