Carlo Cudicini is considering his future after a meeting with Chelsea's Roman Abramovich and Jose Mourinho.

The Italian has had the misfortune to see first-choice Petr Cech pass every Premiership examination with flying colours.

Even a Carling Cup final appearance that was promised to him was cruelly taken away when the experienced keeper was sent off in the dying embers of the FA Cup defeat at Newcastle United.

Although Cudicini remains focused on the run-in, primed for any chance to show off his talents again, the 31-year-old's agent Federico Pastorello admits his client is certain to be thinking over his plans in the summer with a number of clubs in England and Italy keen to make him their number one.

"We recently had a meeting with Jose Mourinho and Roman Abramovich with whom we spoke about Carlo's situation," Pastorello, of P&P Sportmanagement, told skysports.com.

"They are happy with Carlo's behaviour and they are absolutely satisfied with the situation there is now at Chelsea with Petr Cech, who is a young talent, and with Cudicini on the bench, who brings the experience.

"Anyway, we are not completely satisfied with this situation because it's not a good thing being on the bench after having been named The Premiership's best keeper for two consecutive times."

Although there is no need to rush into any decisions, Cudicini will have the final say as to his plans.

"Surely Chelsea are a really great team and, this season, they will probably win the Premier League and they are in the Champions League too," explained Pastorello.

"We will have to evaluate.

"Carlo will have to evaluate, at the age of 31, whether he should be staying there and being on the bench or moving.

"For sure, any esteem is not lacking. It is known that a few important sides in England and in Italy will have to change their goalkeeping situation.

"We will see at the right moment what to do."

if he goes i hope he leaves england, i'd hate to see him playing for the gooners. i'll be sad to see him leave, he didn't get to play in the CC final and he won't even get a premiership medal.

Don't you think Mourinho would just start him in 2 games seeing as the title is preaty much wrapped up!

Exactly he has been playing for Chelsea for a while now - if he doesn't get one I'm running a campaigne and writing a very angry letter to Mr. A and Mr. M!
