Michael Laudrup

Can anyone give me any information about him, especially about his coaching ability?

He's been Denmark's best player in all history. He's played in clubs like Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Brondby.

Nowadays, he's coaching Brondby, and is doing very well. He's dominating the SAS Superliga, and he was one of Real Madrid's primary resources in order to replace Jose Antonio Camacho after he left his post. Laudrup rejected the offer.

You just need to look at the Danish league table to see how well he's doing as a coach. Brøndby got a very young squad, so they have done more than excellent so far this season... I'm quite sure Laudrup is not going to leave Brøndby the next year or two no matter how big a offer he gets...

Heh, Laudrup was never offered the job as coach of Real Madrid. There were some unconfirmed rumors in the spanish press about Laudrup being mentioned as a possible candidate. That's all.

But he is doing well in Denmark, I am just not sure he has the personality to coach a mayor spanish club. He is too much of a thinker and the press and fans wants coaches of temper and action. Laudrup mostly just sits and analyzes the game.

He needs to be paired with someone with a heavy temper. Someone like Hristo Stoichkov. Now that would be pretty funny to watch

This might be why Van der Vaart 23 asked about Laudrup:

.................................................. .................................

Michael Laudrup future Ajax coach?

Danish celebrity Michael Laudrup might be filling Ajax's new empty spot, for Ronald Koeman recently stepped sown after their UEFA Cup exit.

He may become Ajax's man, even though he may to compete with Tottenham's Martin Jol.

Danish NT coach Morten Olsen has backed Laudrup into taking a shot for the Ajax spot.

"Laudrup would be a logical choice," Olsen told BT.
"He has played at the club and also played the same system at Barcelona.

"It's the style of the club.

"Therefore, they are just looking for coaches who are familiar with that style."

Brondby, however, are not ready to let their successful coach go, although his contract does expire at the end of the season.

"We've got a deal with him and we expect it will be fulfilled," declared Brondby director Per Bjerregaard to TV2.

It looks like there's plenty of interests for Laudrup, even though this was a rumor.

http://www.goal.com/NewsDetail.aspx?...=50504&progr=6

Valencia would be a good option, since he could recommend some representatives to buy young Brondby talents!!!!

(Ok, for everybody, it may sound weird that I support Brondby when I really love FCK. The reason is that FCK don't really have many talents, since they are more into buying talents from other leagues/clubs instead of making them.

Brondby, on the other hand, do make their talents, which might be the reason why so many Danish internationals come out of Brondby)
