Joao Pinto leaves Boavista for Saudi team

Joao Pinto should leave Boavista for Saudi Arabian team Al-Hilal according to Portuguese press reports.
He will be paid $800,000 dolllars to represent the team for the remaining four months of this season

So basically he's making $200,000 U.S a month? Why the hell is Qatar offering that kind of money for a player like that? It's not like Joao Pinto's name is going to net the club that kind of money each month anyways. He's not that famous. The Arab clubs should only bring in veterans that have starpower and can rack in huge cash for the club. Like Pele did for Cosmos.

Of course Joao Pinto is greedy, he's Portugeuse. From my personal experience, a lot of people of my race place money as top priority (even much of my family is like that). Not saying this as an attack of my own heritage but just an observation. Of course there are those who are ambitious and who prefer to further their career rather than make lots of money... which I admire.

Hes not going Qatar, its Saudi arabia

Portuguese people aren't greedy, we just know how hard it is to earn money, and etc etc and so we are shrewd with it.

But then again there are the portuguese types who would rather gove their money to the bar owner for a super bock than buy their kids sum food or clothes. those portuguese people are

That just re-itarates my point.
He left portugal, flopped and was too scared to leave again.
Just like nuno gomes, he had the opportunity to go to Liverpool and chose Benfica . Nothin against benfica but I dont know many people who would chose Benfica over Liverpool

I don't understand how this Saudi club (excuse me for calling it Qatari before. lol. They are usually the ones who do this type of thing) would benefit from this though. Do the Arabian fans there look forward to watching a Portugeuse washed-up has-been? I understand why Batigol went to Qatar... he is a big fan-favourite world wide but Joao Pinto?! I'll never understand the reasoning behind this signing for them.

These people from eastern countries do really consume a lot of football. I´ve already had the pleasure of talking with some fans from Japan, Korea or Arabia and they do know all the stuff so dont be surprised if there are some Joao Pinto fans over there.

THE best header in my opinion, cause living in England i was crying when we were losing 2-0, but the boys turned it around, and did it playing beautiful football

According to press reports, JVP wants to stay at Boavista, so his move to Saudi Arabia might not happen after all.

I know what I'd do in his situation...

I knew he was washed up but ouch. Not making Boavista's lineup can't be good for a former Portugeuse international that has around 80 caps to his name.
