Alan Pardew

Have just read that if West Ham don't beat Derby on Sunday then Pardew will be sacked Considering West Ham are in a play off position I must admit this seems a tad harsh

I don't think the West Ham fans have ever really taken to him to be honest.

Their board caused loads of aggro taking him from Reading and I don't think he's had that much money to spend ...

The thing is we've already dropped out of the play off places and if we lose to derby we could go as low as 9th. When pardew first took over I was full of hope, but since then it's all gone down hill. And of course the last thing we want to hear is him saying that if we're not promoted this year at least the younger lads would have gain some good experience by playing in the championship for a couple of seasons. What use is a manager who is resigned to the fact that we've already blown our chances of promotion? We should have went with a decent manager while we had the chance, but the board, as always, decided on the cheaper option.

I've got a feeling we'll only sake him if it won't cost us too much. If we have to make a big pay out to end his contract you can forget about it. Unfortunately at the time when we appointed him there were quite a few good managers out of work, but now there aren't so many. I don't want to get my hopes up too much by thinking about him going. In any case I think the team is so shaky even if we do appoint a new manager we won't make it back up this season.

I don't think west ham fans have ever got over the fact that they are no longer a premiership team with premiership players and still expect Pardrew to make some kind of miracle and get back into the premiership with no problem at all.

Expectations are too high from the majority of West Ham fans. Also there home record hasn't been great this season compared to what it should be.

Its near enough facts. You can't say that the team they have there is premiership quality can you?? Look at there midfield, fletcher etc. They are a playoff team at best like Millwall. Pardrew signings havn't been great and he has had quite a bit of money to spend as well compared to some managers in this league.

I admit us west ham fans expect a lot from the club - we're fairly arrogant in fact. I do think we look back to the past too much by comparing our current team with the one we used to have. As much as I'd love us to go back up this year, I don't think we've got the makings of a premiership team. We have enough good players but they are so inconsistant. I'm hoping it's all down to having a bad manager and if we get rid of him we may be able to put a good run together before the end of the season.
