Fetai goes on loan to ICT

Young Rangers striker Bajram Fetai has signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle on a six-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old Dane has made just one substitute appearance for the Rangers first-team since arriving for £200,000 from B93 Copenhagen last January.

Now he will be given the chance to prove himself in the Scottish Premier League with Craig Brewster's side.

Brewster had recently made a failed attempt to sign winger Ross Wallace on loan from Celtic.

Fetai was born in Yugoslavia but has played for Denmark at youth level, his family having moved there when he was two years old.

He had been interesting FC Copenhagen and Brondby at the time of joining Rangers.

==============

It'll be good for Both Rangers and Fetai, the first team football will do him the world of good and I'm sure he'll be **** hot with Inverness been fantastic for our U21/U19 team. I hope all goes wel land when he returns in the Summer he'll be getting a shout for first team action.

I doubt that, since I've never seen his name linked with any of the big Danish Superliga clubs. Probably because he was never/is not among the absolute star-forwards in the Danish U19 and U21 team... The two big stars are Morten "Duncan" Rasmussen, AGF Aarhus and Kasper Lorentzen, Brøndby ...

Danish U19 NT squad:

Still, Fetai did score 12 goals in 25 games in the Danish 1st Division before moving to Scotland , so he must have been very talented, since the players usually have a fairly high technical level even in the lower Danish divisions, though he probably lacked some physique...

But it's nice to see him making some progress and I think it's a very good idea to give him a chance to get some first team action in a club like Inverness...

Should do him good to get some first team action, hopefully he'll come back as a better player. Can he play against us?

Nice to see McLeish isn't afraid of loaning out his fringe players to lesser clubs. I wish O'Neill had the same attitude with Maloney, Wallace, Beattie etc

Well lets hope if he does well, he'll be given a chance when he returns. Too many players are loaned out, do well, come back and still get no chance so end up leaving. Look at Stevie MacLean who was never really given a chance despite scoring tonnes of goals in the lower leagues in England.
