Roy Carroll

Did anyone see that? we need a new keeper badly. We should have put them to bed tonight but we didnt. What a blunder by Roy Carroll, if that goal would have stood he would have had the crap kicked out of him by SAF.

Agreed - and that blunder in the first half nearly cost us too. We need a reliable keeper, Carroll doesn't give me much confidence at all especially with all those back passes going to him, I'm holding my breath everytime.

He's payed £20,000 grand a week to catch the ball and he can't even do that!!! Absolutely abysmal. I'm shocked. SO glad it wasn't given. Although if i was a spurs fan id be disgusted. Actually i am disgusted, but with our keeper... i think it is twice he's shown he can't catch a ball... Bring back TIM!!

Drop Carroll, goodness sake, that was clearly a goal for spurs, I bet the media will now backlash us for getting away with it.

Jesus no he's too small for the prem. We'd be letting in corners like there was no tomorrow. I think its time Howard got another crack of the whip.

Oh, here we go. Carroll's crap, drop him, buy Van Der Sar, Niemi, anyone. You all sound like the tabloids for crying out loud. Is this the same bunch who were worried just a couple of weeks ago that Carroll was going to leave?

Carroll made an error before the goal that never was.

Roy Carroll is nothing more than a half decent goalkeeper,he wouldn't get into any other Premiership side's first team.

If we can't raise £4-5 million to buy Niemi or another good goalkeeper,we have to give Tim Howard another chance.

Carroll can f*** off on a free in June

But did they? Don't make him the scapegoat for United failing to win. If he has a stormer in the next league game, you'll all be talking about how important it is he signs a new contract.

Howard was dropped because his mistakes cost United points. So far, Carroll's mistakes have cost nothing.

He was poor and has made a couple of ****-ups in the last few games, we've just been lucky they haven't cost us. If Tim plays well against Exeter this saturday he'll be back in the starting XI for our next prem game I'd guess.

But Roy Carroll's never "had a stormer",he's never looked convincing in goal and i can't remember him ever making saves that you wouldn't expect him to make.

He needs to be dropped for the simple fact he can not catch a ball. Jesus, reach up and catch the ball. It isn't a ******* baby. REACH UP AND CATCH IT! You are the only one allowed to use your hands so CATCH THE ******* BALL!

I think he was trying to catch it and then run to kick it and thats what made him drop it.

Im a keeper as well and i can tell thats what he was doing...

People are being way too harsh, he has done nothing wrong apart from tonight. So two confidence-drained keepers in Howard and Carroll, surely give Ricardo a chance!

Carroll's a good keeper who occasionally makes stupid wee errors, don't blame him for it you got a point and even if the ball hadda went into the net there should have a few in the spurs net, no mention of your strikers etc being shot shy the night, no lets blame the keeper. I'll bet Roy will have a stormer in his next game
