Info on Anderton and Iversen

Ok I havent been following Tottenham for a long time...

I used to watch some of their games in EPL when they had Ginola and Anderton and Iversen...

What happened to Anderton ? Where is he now ? I really used to like this player....

On another note, I would like to hear Spurs fans' opinion about Iversen, was he a success at Spurs or a total failure ?

Anderton was released when his contract expired this summer, Birmingham signed him.

Anderton was great, and is still a decent player. Has the all time assist record in the Premier League. Not many players with a better right foot than him. Too bad the injuries hampered his career. IMO he would have held Beckham out of the national team in the mid/late 90s if he hadn't been injured so often.

As for Iversen....I saw his home debut against Southampton when he scored a hat trick....I think it was his home debut...memory has started to go a bit fuzzy. To be honest I feel he was a bit of a flop...but through no fault of his own...He was playing pretty much on his own during what was a difficult time at spurs and also suffered quite a few injuries....another potential top player who we managed to ruin then!!

But it seems that Iversen has pulled back, from what I hear he had disappointing performances with all the teams he played with in EPL, but now in Valerenga the guy is scoring regulary and seems to have regained form, the thing is Lazio are interested in him, as he will be a free agent in January since he hasn't signed a new contract with Valerenga

I think if Iverson is given money he will spend it on booze.

Well I am sure he has matured in to a great player, he was quite young and in-experience when we bought him, so who knows...to be honest I didn't realise he was still playing!

Not likely, he has changed lifestyle after he married Anna Crane. Not only the drinking, but also eating habits. It has done him a world of good. He used to be on a constant pizza diet.

Iversen has now decided to sign for an italian club. Eventhough Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Norwich wanted him. Lazio, Fiorentina and Siena are the clubs he has been in contact with.

He has by far been the best player in all the Scandinavian leagues since the summer. He struggled with bad lifestyle, injuries and poor medical staff at Spurs and Wolves - which hampered his development.

One of the world's best players in the air, he wins 8 or 9 out of every 10th duel, no matter who the opponent is. Strong, excellent workrate, and never say die attitude. Can't compare with the skills of italian strikers though. .. Can at times have the first touch of a rapist
