Paul Pierce and Walker is a hard duo for Nets.

Keith Van Horn must play good (heŽs inconsistent). Otherwise Nets lose.

BRAZILIAN midfielder Edu has promised that he will be even better next season after really finding his feet in English football over the past few months.

Edu became increasingly important towards the end of our push for the Premiership trophy - starting eight of our last nine league games.

It was a superb climax to the season for Edu following a number of injury problems that had hampered his development at Highbury since he completed a transfer from Corinthians in January 2001.

Edu suffered a hamstring strain on his debut against Leicester and managed just four more games last season before injuring his foot last summer.
Quote:

However, he increasingly impressed as our Double-winning season developed and is looking forward to starting next season in top form.

"I have really enjoyed this season. I had many problems when I started here but now I feel great," he says.

"Everybody has to work hard but for a Brazilian it is even harder. I have always been training hard and working because England is not easy. But now I feel great and I am getting better.

"Everybody has helped me. I have come to England and I did not know English and I did not know anyone. But this group was fantastic so I quickly adapted."

And Edu has thanked manager Arsene Wenger for keeping faith in him and then giving him the chance to finish the season with a Premiership and FA Cup winners medal.

"It is fantastic," he added. "When I started here I had bad luck, everybody knows that. But in every interview Arsene Wenger was speaking good words about me. He always believed in me he was always saying that I had to play hard.

"But I am very pleased to do that and now everybody can see my two medals from this season."
Edu looks better and better each day. Soon he should be starting for both Arse and Brazil. Edu is strong!!

Hmmmm, radical. A manager who builds up his players' confidence and helps them believe in themselves. Perhaps he should be considered for "Manager of the Year" or something

I think that the "good ol' days" where pro athletes were as smart as dump trucks are over. Yelling and swearing and acting like an idiot is no longer the way to motivate and inspire. The manager is no longer the "father figure" of a team.

many times the players are richer and more influental than the manager - hence they donŽt give respect to the manager or his authority. With authority you donŽt get too far with the new generation.. you have to be more "understanding" and "cooperative".

The clubs and managers got hard time controlling the players, cause the players are not dependend on them anymore. The players get paid regardless. Hence players are more dependend on their agents than the manager.. the players donŽt want to hear no s** anymore.
