Huth Cleared
The Football Association have decided that they will take no action against Chelsea defender Robert Huth after he appeared to stamp on Newcastle striker Alan Shearer last weekend. The German defender appeared to stamp on Shearer after they tussled for the ball during Newcastle's 2-1 win at St James' Park on Sunday.
Huth faced a possible charge of violent conduct for the incident which would have meant a three-match ban.
The FA's compliance unit asked to review the match video but decided not to take the matter further after match referee Rob Styles confirmed he had seen the incident.
It means that Huth will be available for the remainder of the season for Chelsea.
I am not saying this to bait the Toom Army but I am glad Huth got cleared. Shearer, a champion whinge and red card seeker, was hardy touched and tried to get Huth sent off. How many times have we seen Shearer involved in bust ups on the field. What a whinge!

Hardly touched?
Have you ever been kicked in the bollocks?
In case you're somehow not aware, it doesnt take much contact to hurt. A lot.
You're talking prime grade shite. Huth had already been booked having been on the pitch for all of 5 minutes.

Certainly as much contact made as there was with Lennon's head mate to be fair, so hardly touched is a little inaccurate...

Bottle job from the FA, was disgraceful by Huth, should have been sent off. And I hate Shearer too but you can't accept what Huth did.

Can hardly bring myself to say it, but I can't blame the FA. If the ref said he saw it then the rules say that's the incident dealt with. Rules are rules.
What it does say is that Styles is a shocking referee. He was the one who bottled it, as Huth had just been booked.
At the end of it all, Alan still had two bollocks, but also had 3 points as well!

Ahhhh sorry I didn't realise the ref had seen it lol sorry. Blame the ref then yeh definitely cause Huth's foot quite blatently moved off the ground and into Shearer.

I watched it normal speed and slow mo, in slow mo he looks like he "hurts" him, in real time you can see that the player has nowhere to go. Now if I can see that, and so can the FA, whats the problem? It looked harmless to me anyway.

It looked more like he stepped on his upper thigh rather than his balls. Anyway the Ref saw the whole thing and deemed it only a yellow.
What an Ox of a man Huth is though, if he did step on the family jewels I doubt Alan would have use of them for a long time.

Thank you sir!
Biased. Not really. Neither player are very high in my esteem anyway. I looked at the video footage and thought, hmm, the ref was right - and eventually, the FA (for once). It was really not all that serious. Shearer made more of it and tried to get Huth red carded.

Shearer wins free kicks through his own legit form of diving, this I admit. But he never makes a meal of a challenge like that and fakes injury.
I know Shearer is far from an angel and dishes it out as much as he takes it, but when he's hurt he's hurt. He stamped on his knackers man!

how can you say anything else than a sending off, even if it didnt hit him in the badgers nadgers its still intentional contact with studs, which is not alloud in the game. And to say Alan Shearer fakes injury is a joke.

I didn't say he faked it, I said he made more of it than he should have.
