Niclas Jensen: "I will stay in the Ruhr Area - Even if I join Bremen one day"
[8.04.] Niclas Jensen, Borussia´s likeable Dane, who has settled in Dortmund in record time, who speaks German almost fluently and who has also performed well for Borussia so far, last night answered some questions of the fans on Borussia Dortmund´s internet portal "BVB CLUB". The interest was huge, and Niclas talked about himself, his family and his plans for the future. Here are some extracts:
Hello Niclas, how do you like it at BVB, and are you planning to stay longer here in Dortmund?
Niclas Jensen: "I like it here a lot. BVB are a big and ambitious club. I hope to stay here for longer to produce more good performances for BVB."
Do you have a role model in football? Who is it?
Niclas Jensen: "It used to be Michael Laudrup, an incredible player. By far the best Danish player. He´s also a nice person outside football."
How do you see the prospects of BVB qualifying for Europe this year?
Niclas Jensen : "Yes, I think we still have our chances. We have a good team that will earn quite a few points in the remaining seven matches. I´m absolutely sure about that!!!"
Where did you learn to play football?
Niclas Jensen: "I joined a club when I was five and played football every day, everywhere. Football is my life. It´s a dream to make a living from your hobby."
How much time do you really have as a footballer? Are you doing anything with your team-mates after the training?
Niclas Jensen : "Yes, once in while we meet for a meal or do something together. It´s important for the social climate. As a footballer you have a lot of free time, but little freedom. You´re a footballer 24 hours a day, even if you only play one and half hours of football every other day."
What do you like about Denmark?
Niclas Jensen: "Most of all the people, the good mood of the Danes: Friendly, calm and easy going." Copenhagen is a great city, too."
How do you like the Ruhr Area?
Niclas Jensen: "I will stay here, even if I join Bremen one day."
Are also you spending some time in front of a computer?
Niclas Jensen: "Yes, a lot. When you live abroad it´s a great tool to communicate with your friends back home."
Where did you start your career?
Niclas Jensen: "In my youth I played for B93 Copenhagen. My professional career started at Lyngby Copenhagen."
