CL Final FT: Bayern 1 - 1 Chelsea* (3-4)
The Champions League final!
Suspensions: Gustavo, Alaba, Badstuber.
Well it's been an interesting road the final this year. It looked like it was all lost when Basel won 1-0 away in the round of 16. Now we have come back and crashed them. Were in the group of death but generally Bayern have not had problems until the semi-final vs Madrid. Epic finish to that match and now we're in the final.
Like Robben said, "when the semi-finals were announced if you would have bet for a Bayern vs Chelsea final, you would be a rich man."
Should be interesting and unsure exactly what Heynckes will go for in terms of formation. Tymoschuk at CB is just too poor, I think the DROGS would own him, and Van Buyten is simply nowhere near fit enough and would get hurt even more since he's not ready. Shame that while his injury paved the way for Alaba and Boateng to confim their places in the starting XI, now that he's needed due to suspensions.
Potential XI:
------------Gomez-------------
-Ribery----Muller----Robben-
-----Schweini---Kroos---------
Lahm-------------------Rafinha
------Tymo ----Boateng-----
------------Neuer---------------
My main fear is that Bayern tend to start matches in a horrible fashion in the first 10-15 minutes and Chelsea could come swinging in that time, then crawl up and defend a 1-0 lead. I really hope Bayern does start and go for the throat early on but it's tough to tell with them considering the way they begin matches... Neuer will have to be on his game for some of the chances Drogba will get, I feel Tymo is going to get skinned once or twice this match and that could decide the tie.
There's many variations in terms of formations for Bayern and what they may go for though I think may open another thread soon enough for that topic. Also some promo videos for Bayern from youtube, if you find them put them in here.
A lot of focus for this game, just hoping and dreaming for the best.

I would not be surprised whatsoever if van Buyten plays. I also would not be surprised if he had a good match. All the signs point to us needing a good new CB but he'll have a good game and it'll make our management think it's OK.

Apparently Di Matteo and Heynckes are trying there best to convince uefa to let the suspended players play in the finals, of course who ever got that red card for chelsea would obviously be suspended, I think its gonna be hard convincing Uefa to over turn this so I really f**kn hope it goes through, would make it a fair match..

Don't play this CL final like your last final and you'll win, Chelsea 2012 are no Inter 2010 even when you're arguably not as good as 2010 yourselves you should win so long as you hold tight defensively.

I know. FIFApro want the same. I don't think anything is getting rescinded or nulled. Both teams are going to be handicapped. I think you are better off as we may only have one or two CBs available. And obviously we also have more unavailable.
I think this will be like the United v Chelsea games. I don't think we'll sit back as much as some people here think. Just sour grapes from Barca fans and people who hate the club anyway.
Good luck to youz, if it wasn't us in the final I'd be cheering for Bayern

Due to the suspensions we aren't as good defensively, I guess you could say. Although I think Boateng is better than Demi. Neuer is also better than Butt. Offensively we are better though, Ribery was suspended for the game and Gomez didn't start.

Kroos also didn't play. It's going to be a very attacking formation for Bayern since Tymo will play in defense.

fcbm is a very offensive team and play home, they will come out guns blazing. if fcbm dont score in the first 20min, then they are in trouble. chelsea will defend with 11 men and wait for counter attacks. the positioning of boateng and tymo in centre (or mistakes) is crucial, they cannot make any mistake in counter attacks and long balls... corners included.
If fcbm doesnt make any mistake on set pieces, they are on the top. Rafinha would need to watch out, not to stay too far up.. resist the brazzie temptation to go up. Cause that is what chelsea is waiting for.
Chelsea team is old and have more games than fcbm, so they could be more tired coming in the game. FA cup and all. Fcbm really have to come up running and gunning from the start, push the oldies physical and running limits. Gomez can dominate Chelski centre back, and surely robbery is one of the most dangerous wings in the game.
Bavaria all the way!

I agree with Jere, hard attacking from the begining, no calculating. BAyern is playing at home and is favorite in this game. Confident and agressive aproach from the begining.

Well tbh, I think Buyten as 4th choice is ok for Bayern. Dante would have cost 15m euros in January though, BMG wouldn't sell then and it's only due to clause we get him so cheap for 4.6m euros. If Buyten is ok with the bench for essentially the entire season bar huge injuries and lowers his paycheck, it's not a bad idea.
However I am not fond of him starting vs Chelsea. He's not match fit, simply shouldn't bother.
I agree with Jere, we need to come out guns blazing and get that early goal. Not sure if Bayern will do so, but it could be huge if we do and get that needed early goal. Think this will be a great game for Gomez tbh, defensive units you need a sly player like Gomez to slide in a pull in a cheap goal. I don't care if he puts it in with his ass tbh, as long as it goes in.

fcbm is quite strong and deep in centre back. dante is somebody who should be starting in bundesliga, so who is on the bench. boateng or badstuber. boateng is not really rb, so fcbm is only wasting him if they put him there.

Badstuber, Alaba, and Gustavo are all suspended. And I'm pretty sure Juup wants to start Van Buyten but i hope to god we dont since he hasn't played in quite a few months and we all know how bad he is when hes rusty.

Good luck Bayern! Seems really all of Germany is behind you. Much more so because you lost the last final in 2010, without Ribery. This time is yours, I really hope.
I have no idea how Chelsea will play, but expect a tight defense is for sure. Maybe they might pull a trick on you. I remember when Italy were expected defending against Germany in WC, but went out pressing and pushing up front, to overwhelm a tactically asleep german side. This Italy manager might try to give a surprise approach to disrupt Bayerns game plan.
Also he might try to capitalize on Bayerns lack of regular defenders and go on them with force, who knows?
Jupp needs to make them ready earlier, so they do not sleep through the first 15 minutes, like so often. I have a good feeling, because Bayerns attack is better than Barcas. It has more options with Gomez heading and more speed with Robbery. I cannot see Chelsea to park the bus and withstand a Bayern attacking the full game, because it would be much different to Barca. Bayern would not be so predictible, as they could come in short passings and with high crosses on the flanks AND with long range shots that actually are worth mentioning. Two more dimensions, which Barca totally lacked. Imagine Bayern whipping in crosses and Kroos and Schweini waiting for the bounce offs, very dangerous. Chelsea could not as against Barca neglect to attack all players that are not almost in the box. Because this would result in sharp crosses and long range shots from Bayern. They have to attack earlier, so Bayern will have more space than Barca had in the box. As long as Bayern do not like Barca forget to keep the back tight, they have a good chance to get the cup, imho. But as if Chels can again show this sort of efficiency up front, then it will be hard. But that would be phenomenal, so please don't! I'd rather see Drogba the cvnt stumble over some 100% opportunities . That arse is full of shlt.
Kroos to volley it in the net in minute 82. That would be it. And I want to see Ribery lift the cup, he is working so hard. A fantastic footballer he is. Bayern simply have the most complete team right now for me. Respect and good luck!

I was thinking this too. In last couple of games he confirmed his fighting spirit. He gives all, he is always there to protect a teammate, he lives with BAyern's play and result even when he is outside of the pitch. You can see that he cares a lot! Not only in a formal and selfish way. A true team player he is, apart from being fantastic footballer. He has became one of my favorites.

Mates, Chelsea is a dangerous opponent much like Inter in 2010, a team with built around defence. Jupp the F@rt and his 2 dumb assistances better work out something for the set pieces - so far our set pieces is just Robben or Ribbery try to kill the opponent wall with free kick. Zero goal from free kicks so far, maybe 1 or 2 when Buyten was around last time. In a tight game everything matters.
This where we miss Hitzfield the most - he knew how to do rotation and his set pieces were Bayern weapons at the time.
Rafinha or Contento is a hard choice. Diego never pass the ball forward, just backpass and sidepass.
Rafinha is too clumsy and no speed, Boateng will end up bailing him out and exposing the center defence.
I would go for Chelsea, 0-2, Bayern at moment thinks the cup is already theirs but they will be surprised.
I missed Elber and Scholl combination, from the start whistle, they dribble and score goals. I bet Robbery cant do it, they rather punch each other. One of them should be sold next season.
Lahm is a total disappointment in Madrid - he missed penalty and nowhere near Ronaldo for Ronaldo second goal. This gay captain better prove that he has it when it come to the real thing. Next season Schweni should wear the arm band.
Kroos should never take penalty again, ever. At least Lahm penalty has power in it, but Kroos one is too gay.
To me Alaba was the best or most improved player this season, I like how he passed by those Madrid defence at will. Chris the Cow and his mentor Uli the Dung Hoeness better give himbetter contract. His speed is phenomenal. I love this kid. Too bad he cant play. If UEFA say only 2 player is allowed for ban removal for each team - I would go for Alaba and Gustavo. Uho Stuber - forget him.
Muller is a biggest disappointment this season, his game has not improved, I hope he proved it by scoring a goal or 2 in the final.

One big difference; Chelsea don't have a Sneijder-Eto'o-Milito triangle. Inter 2010 was a better and more complete team than this Chelsea team. Bayern should win this comfortably IMO. Of course the ball is round, anything can happen, but it doesn't change the fact that Bayern has more quality and they should win the match. I'm pretty sure if this Bayern team and this Chelsea team would play eachother 10 times, Chelsea would win it once at most. Bayern can only hope that one time won't be in this final...
Bayern play at home too. I can't see it go wrong for Bayern. Sure a red card can happen or some idiotic match where Bayern just can't find the net and then Chelsea scores some kind of lucky goal out of the blue (they are the blues, so who knows ). Any normal scenario Bayern will win IMO.
