Henrik Larsson has been nominated by the Swedish FA for a prestigious UEFA Award. The Swedish Federation named Larsson as Sweden's entry for the "Golden Player" award to be handed out at the European soccer body's 50-year anniversary next year. Each of the 52 member countries have been asked to put forth a candidate with Scotland's nomination reportedly going to Denis Law. Said Henke

"This is a nomination I am proud of. There are so many good players in Sweden, so of course I am very happy and honoured."

Other players considered by the federation included Kurt Hamrin of Sweden's 1958 World Cup silver medalists and goalkeeper Tomas Ravelli, who helped Sweden reach the semifinals in the 1994 World Cup. Well done Henke...
