Yeah I wouldn't mind Gerland until the summer, then a new coach will be picked most likely.

I love Mehmet, I would actually like Mehmet and Van Bommel both as assistant coaches in the future.. and if good enough to make it to the top of the coaching staff with time.

Effe! Imagine the team not trying hard enough, he would probably run to the field 80th minute with a bat to get them to work harder

Bayern's April Fools day prank was lame.

On their website they said Olic was leaving to go to 2nd division club SPVGG Greuther Furth:

Hey did u all hear about a large group of fans attacking Uli Hoeness with signs just because bayern gave 1860 munich a loan. What a bunch of silly twats.. as if it was their money... probably those same idiots who brought massive amount of signs at the schalke game saying "no Neuer" i mean what real fan wouldnt want one of the best goalies in the world on their team!

It would be hilarious if he raises the ticket prices for them only, but then again not everyone should get punished for a few idiot's mistakes. The whole incident is embarrassing, similar to our season.

And boyo, I don't play Facebook games, but maybe the others can check it out. Actually half of the games downloaded were so my friends could take over my game for their benefit or some sorts, forget the names now :S

FCB also put a few statements by players, media and fans backing up Uli Hoeness which was nice.

Quote:
Dr. Theo Zwanziger (German FA President):
“As a player and official, Uli Hoeneß has achieved so much for FC Bayern and German football. Many are unaware of his extensive community involvement. I cannot comprehend these impertinent and disrespectful public attacks from the club’s own so-called fans, allegedly prompted by certain actions and statements. We cannot tolerate the kind of slogans and banners we saw last Saturday.“

Dr. Reinhard Rauball (President of the League Association):
“I am shocked by the attacks on Uli Hoeneß. Uli Hoeneß has unquestionably achieved a huge amount for Bayern, and this should be recognised by the fans – which I think is the case for at least 98 percent of them. This is the work of a small publicity-seeking minority, acting as if they spoke for the majority. This protest has escalated to a new dimension, which the league association cannot accept. Respect and fair play are important factors in playing the game, but also in watching and consuming the game, and should apply to all fans.“

Franz Beckenbauer (Bayern Honorary President):
“You cannot take this approach towards Uli Hoeneß, who’s guided Bayern on a successful course for years. The club cannot tolerate it!“

Bastian Schweinsteiger:
“Uli Hoeneß has achieved so much for Bayern. He lives and breathes the club and its philosophy like no other. I find the protests directed at him incomprehensible. Bayern must be united, and that includes the fans. We will only hit our targets in the future if we stand together. There’ll always be matches when we have an off day – that’s exactly when we need our supporters most, not just when we’re playing well anyway. We all want a terrific atmosphere at the Allianz Arena, but that’ll only be the case if the fans get behind us as a unit and become our twelfth man.“

Herbert Hainer (adidas AG chairman):
“Dear Bayern supporters, our home match against Borussia Mönchengladbach was used by so-called fans as a platform for a defamatory campaign against our President Uli Hoeneß. I was shocked at this form of public attack on a man who works day and night for the club’s success. The attacks were not only based on totally false information, they overstepped the boundaries of fairness in a dispute between parties with differing opinions. I’ve known Uli Hoeneß for 20 years, and I like, value and respect him for many reasons, but especially for what he’s done on behalf of FC Bayern. I very much hope that everyone who has taken the club to their hearts shows him the respect he is due.“

Reaction from fans:

Thomas R. (via e-mail):
“We deeply regret what has happened, as it is not the first time by any means. Certain groups’ actions are embarrassing, and a disgrace to all true Bayern fans. We expressly distance ourselves from this group and their opinions. Mr Hoeneß, you have put in more than 30 years’ outstanding work for Bayern. We can be more than happy to have such an expert at the head of our club. Please do not be put off by a tiny minority, who are unfortunately the loudest. Keep up the good work, because you’ve made Bayern what it is today, and you can be justly proud of that. We wish you all the best for the future, and “chin up”!

Jochen B. (via e-mail):
“As a loyal Bayern fan for many years, I wish to expressly distance myself from the protest at the match against Gladbach. Neither the form nor the contents of the criticism was appropriate. This group does not in any way reflect the views of Bayern fans. We’re grateful to Mr Hoeneß for everything he’s done for the club, and totally support him and the management. Different opinions are of course allowed, but should not be expressed in this way.”

Kenneth S. (via e-mail):
“Dear Mr Hoeneß, I’ve been a Hamburg fan since childhood, but I think what you’ve been through in the last few days is unworthy. (…) What’s happened has overstepped the mark, and I say this as a HSV fan. The people who’ve jumped this bandwagon should consider what they’re doing to their club. Looking at the situation we’re in [at Hamburg], I wish we had your business and sporting expertise to help us. I hope these people come to their senses, recognise how valuable you are, and what the club has to thank you for. Many clubs would be delighted to have someone like you.“

lol bro you should go easy on him though hes still young, and I think when he thinks a bit older he will realize that supporting too many teams just makes you look like a big ass bandwagon and nothing more.

Heres some pics from the Bayern site...

After talking with Kapetan, I have edited my teams and that's over with.

Nice kits, they look really good. Lahm and Schweini look so good in it, can't say the same for the Big Headed Dutchman.

Klose learning to love new role in team

Quote:
Deserved or not, Frankfurt’s Maik Franz is a tough competitor with a card-laden disciplinary record to match. The Eintracht stopper has fractured a metatarsal and is out of Bayern’s clash with Frankfurt, which most observers would think is good for Munich. “No!” said Miroslav Klose, to the surprise of reporters gathered for Wednesday’s news conference. “I think it’s a shame he’s not playing,” insisted the Germany striker.

Klose expanded on his remark with another unexpected thought: “It would have been easier for us to beat Frankfurt if Franz was in their team, because I’ve always done well against him in the past.” Miro has four goals to his name from FCB’s last three visits to Frankfurt, but regardless of who replaces the injured defender, Klose is convinced the men in red can come away with the points against relegation-threatened Eintracht: “We just have to focus on ourselves. If we play our football, we’ll win the game.”

Fine display against Leverkusen

Bayern’s ability to impose their authority on Frankfurt depends a lot on Klose himself, as the player shone in the hole behind the central striker for the 5-1 victory over Leverkusen, meaning Andries Jonker is all but certain to retain his winning 4-2-3-1 formation at the weekend. “Mario Gomez plays up front, and that won’t change. He’s scoring at will,” acknowledged Klose. The 32-year-old does not foresee a change of tactics: “That's what we’re practising in training every day.”

Regardless of the position, Klose is simply glad to be playing. The second-best Germany striker of all time started a match last Sunday for the first time since matchday six at home to Mainz last autumn. “It felt good,” he confirmed, “I worked hard the whole week and wanted to reproduce that on the pitch.” He succeeded too, covering every blade of grass and creating space for team-mates, none more so than hat-trick man Gomez.

Van Buyten’s admiration for Klose

Miro is patently learning to love his revised role in the team. “I’m the playmaker now, which means I defend, I attack, and I play in midfield. And I can do it too!” Experienced team-mate Daniel Van Buyten agrees. The Belgian praised Klose for his “great skill on the ball. You sensed he was really hungry against Leverkusen after so long on the bench. It was great to see. He’s an important player at this football club.”

As to next season, Klose confirmed that his future is "completely open". His contract expires on 30 June this year, and it is not certain whether it will be renewed. The player himself has clear personal targets: “I’m feeling fit, and I’m healthy. I want to keep playing at the highest level.”
