Seems Bayern offered Palermo 30 mill for Javier Pastore. Great potential. He is some mix of Kaka and Zidane.

If we offered money, I don't see it being that high. Especially since we need defenders more, interesting if we are after him though.
Contento out for potentially 6 weeks.

Van Gaal extends until 2012, but there is no surprise he was going to do that. It's obvious he will stay until then and go coach a national team for the World Cup afterwards. As long as he doesn't coach the German national team, I could care less what team it is in 2 years time.

Breno to spend the next 4 to 6 weeks to get in the team according to Nerlinger after his long injury. If we are lucky, he could be back as early as Ribery... I hope he displaces Van Buyten in the starting XI so our defense improves considerably!

Klose out for 3 more weeks. These injuries are getting a bit ridiculous, meh. Ribery to be back playing in a week or two, maximum 2 weeks from now according to him.

Olic out for 6 months! He will likely get back around the last month or so before the entire season ends, there goes imo our best striker from the bench. If you need a player to add something 60th minute, it would have been Olic. Also depth since Klose is also injured at the moment.
Winter Break cannot come any sooner!

Philipp Lahm believes Bayern may have lost too much ground
Bayern failed to kill the game off when they dominated in the first half, hitting the woodwork twice and missing a penalty.
Gladbach hit back and almost won the game before Lahm's late equaliser salvaged a point which, according to the Germany international, is still too little.
"We are so many points behind that we cannot afford to drop any more, and we have dropped some here," he said. "We lost the ball too easily at the start of the second half and this is not the first time this has happened.
"It happened also against Cluj when we just slept for the first 15 minutes of the second half. The same thing happened today, only this time we have been punished."
Coach Louis van Gaal heaped praise on his side during the interval but revealed he was furious at full time.
"I am very disappointed and even a bit angry," he said after emerging from the dressing room, where he had given his team a piece of his mind which could be heard from almost all corners of the Borussia Park stadium.
"I had to raise my voice a lot. At half time, I had to pay my team a compliment and tell them that I had never seen Bayern play so well this season, and then this happens."

Too bad Tymo didn't accidentally throw a 'bow and break his nose. Or perhaps a front flip while simultaneously ripping a few ligaments in MvB's knee with his studs.

Holland have called up both van Persie and van Bommel. I hope van Bommel gets injured in the meaningless friendly he will now play because a) he's an arséhole and b) I want to see what Bayern Munich will do.

He's a total dick. One day after he had his little fight with Tymo, he injured Schweini the next day even though it wasn't too serious. I'm with you, Rummenigge already said he should think about the friendly and whether he should go, even though Van Gaal gave him permission it's not a good idea. If he gets injured, I could see him getting kicked out of the club by the end of the season.

Bayern posts profit for 18th year in a row
The 2009-10 season was a runaway success on the field of play as Bayern claimed the double and reached the Champions League final, and the equivalent fiscal year was equally spectacular for the Munich giants. In the reporting year from 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010, Germany’s biggest football club cracked the €300 million turnover barrier for the first time, while operating at a profit for the 18th successive year.
FC Bayern München AG posted turnover of €312.0 million, up by almost 16 percent on 2008-9 (€268.7 million). Profit after tax rose some 20 percent to €2.9 million (2008-9: €2.5 million). Operating profit (Ebitda) rose to €61.2 million (2008-9: €45.0 million). FC Bayern München AG boasts equity capital totalling €206.4 million (€2008-9: 177.5 million).

None have that record, unfortunately for us that doesn't win us any CL trophies. Hopefully we spend the cash soon, we just need it for a few players.

Robben on the right track
The 26-year-old, who has been able to jog and run for the last five weeks, has now been cleared by FCB chief medical officer Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt to rejoin the rest of the squad in the near future. Under the watchful eye of sports rehab and fitness coach Thomas Wilhelmi, Robben is expected to be gradually reintroduced to the daily workout schedule from Wednesday onwards.
Recovery according to plan
Robben’s recovery and rehab are thus going exactly as planned. His return to the full squad programme was envisaged for the winter training camp in Qatar from 2 to 9 January at the latest, but this will most likely be brought forward to the week before the mid-season break. The World Cup runner-up must now have a decent chance of featuring in some capacity in the restart fixture away to VfL Wolfsburg on 15 January.
The extent of Robben’s injury was revealed in a routine pre-season medical after his return from summer vacation in early August. The 2010 German Player of the Year has been restricted to rehab and fitness work since then. He resumed outdoor exercise in early November, and is now poised for the next step in his comeback.

If I were to make our best team right now, it would be something like this:
--------------Gomez--------------
--Ribery-----Muller-----Robben--
-----Schweini-----A--------------
B----------------------------Lahm
-------Bads-------Breno----------
----------------C-------------------
Our best XI and formation. A is really anyone of Van Bommel, Tymoschuk & Kroos. Tymoschuk looks like the most in-form player for that position but captain must always play according to Van Gaal. Kroos is for the future, he might even be our starter with Schweini next season. He is seen as a CM by Van Gaal and I agree with him, either this position is set in depth and either one could do the job.
B is basically our left-back, a problem we've had since ol' Willy Sagnol retired. Hasn't been replaced in years... Lell, Oddo, Pranjic, Braafail, Contento.. so far filled with failures. I think the best option would be Coentrao. 20m euros this summer if they don't sign a LB this winter transfer period, I think this should happen.
C is for Neuer. I think we have this done & dusted at the end of the day during the summer, essentially one of the last pieces of the puzzle. If we sign Neuer and potentially a good full-back who can pass the ball well (preferably the Portugese), we essentially have all 11 players on the field once Kroos becomes a starter comfortable at ball control and passing, basically everything Van Gaal needs. The CL final next year is in Munich and with luck and just 2 players, we have a great chance for it imo.

Toni Kroos will not play the last two games at Stuttgart. He received a foot injury during training. X-rays were negative, but playing the last two games could put him at risk for a stress fracture. He should, however, participate fully during winter training in Qatar. Looks like it will be a Tymo-MVB pairing?

Or it could be Ottl with MVB and then Van Gaal can leave Tymo at CB. I guess it depends on how many people you want to move around. Pranjic has played there too in the past.

Badstuber is back! olee
Fit-again Holger targets starting berth
Quote:
“It's obviously terrific to be back with the team, taking a full part in every training session and simply playing football again. That's the best thing about it,” said Badstuber, who has not played since late October last year with a pelvic injury. “That's a long enough break, I want to put myself forward again and help the team.”
..
The player is now back in action, and has set a target of starting the first fixture after Christmas away to Wolfsburg on 15 January. “I want to play every match, but the decision isn’t up to me,” Badstuber acknowledged. Nevertheless, his prospects of making the team must be high, as boss Louis van Gaal repeatedly declared his faith in the player during his enforced absence: “Badstuber will always play in my team if he’s fit. I think he’s the best left-sided centre-half in Germany.”
The stats certainly speak in favour of the Munich youth product, who went straight into the FCB first team from the reserves 18 months ago, and finished last season at the World Cup in South Africa with Germany. In Badstuber’s absence, FCB conceded 12 goals against in eight matches, but when he played, it was eight goals against in nine games. An equally good or even better record for the rest of the season would delight and please everyone associated with the club.

I would imagine he starts on the 15th vs Wolfsburg as he is seen as fit. It's great that he came back so early (just over 2 month injury), since this type of injury could be a lot longer. I think with Badstuber over Van Buyten now (or Tymo) in defense and Gustavo over Contento/Pranjic should make us a bit stronger defensively for the 2nd half of the season.
Klose should be fit and ready to go, even though in all honesty he's just needed as a depth "option".. Gomez is trying to get fit atm, not training with the team fully but doing exercises since he got his injury in the last match in the cup vs Stuttgart. Whether he can start on the 15th is doubtful atm, but I imagine he plays the last 30 minutes at least. Similar case with Robben, though with him it's a more delicate situation. Olic is still obviously out for the entire season. At least most of the ijured starters are slowly coming back from injuries. Kroos is out of the trip as his left foot is still healing. Not sure if he will be fit by the first game.

Gomez is finally fit, he will have to wait until Wednesday to start normal training. However bar any surprises, he should be fit enough to start against Wolfsburg on the 15th.
That leaves only Olic (out for the season) for certain. Robben & Kroos are question marks, though the former should definitely make the team.
