So.. the day is here.

How do you think we will fare? I hope we hold our own.

My guess -

Wolves 1 - 1 West Ham

You'll beat them.

Are you going? Im slightly excited due to the fact the season has started, if Spurs had just been promoted I dread to think how excited I would be right now

Sounds a good plan, a bit like mine tomorrow.
4pm Kick Off ... Pub for 11am
With a bit of luck the lads will have the same attitude tomorrow as they normally do. Being the only female, I dont buy the drinks Good times.

As for the match, I think you'll get your first three points today. West Ham, to me, are that strong a team and you shouldnt be scared of them. A draw would be good though.

Sounds good for you tomorrow then.

I hope you're right, but this is Wolves. We never do things the 'easy' way

Neither do Spurs, I know the feeling.

Im confident you'll start the season with a bang. I expect the atmosphere to be pretty rocking too which is always a plus.

Promoted teams usually do well first game, esp at home.

2-1 Wolves.

Thanks

Not too disheartened by the defeat, we held our own and gave it a go for the majority of the game. Difference for me was the qulaity in goalkeeping and finishing.

Green didn't have much to do, but whatever he had to do, he dealt with it competently. Hennessey cost us the two goals, first one he was too far off his line, and the second he never bothered to come and collect, same old story really.

Milijas was outstanding, not just his long-efforts but his all-round midfield play and how he spreaded the ball around. This is a guy to watch out for, folks.

Even at 1-0 we gave it a go, but when Mancienne, another outstanding performer who took care of Cole very well, went off for Stearman, Cole looked different and shortly after, it was 2-0 and not long after, Milijas went off and with three subs used, SEB limped not long after and the game was lost.

But it looks promising early doors.

True, we played quite well despite the scoreline. Non-marking in defence was a problem, there were many occasions when West Ham players were unmarked & in decent positions. Milijas looks great.
SEB was a bit rusty. Keogh played very well - did everything bar get into a goalscoring position. Won the ball many times, & didn't lose it when he had it.
Looks promising so far.. not too disheartened myself.

You are gonna struggle for goals.

All this 'Ebanks Blake for England' is shite frankly. He's not good enough for the Prem.

The lad in midfield looks fantastic and will get a few from long range. But I don't see where the goals will come from. There will be probably three teams worse than you (as the bottom half of the league is very poor this year. But you need to find a striker to be sure.

Doyle

SEB had a bad game. He seemed out of position a lot, he wasn't doing what he can do - prowling the box, & when he was he was well marked. Based on one game, it's hard to say. The defence still worries me. West Ham didn't have many chances, but when they came, they were converted. That's the difference between an established Premier side & us, & if it's not sorted, it'll cost us.

What did I say about supporting Wolves? 1 - 1 was my best hope. At worst, I worried we'd take a hammering (no pun intended). We have to take the positives from it & move on...

That poor excuse of a keeper worries me. Defence is alright.
