v Derby FA Cup 4th Round Build up and Match Thread

Only 2 days to go so i though i would create the thread now.

The Reds hope to have midfielder Matt Thornhill available again after he missed the win over Plymouth.
A groin injury ruled the youngster out of last Saturday's game but he has made a successful return to training this week and will be hoping to be involved.
Brendan Moloney and Paddy Gamble are cup-tied, having played in the competition while on loan with Rushden & Diamonds and Mansfield respectively, while long-term injury victims Guy Moussi and Julian Bennett will again be missing.

Derby, meanwhile, have doubts surrounding Steve Davies and Andy Todd, who picked-up groin and hamstring injuries respectively at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
But former Forest man Kris Commons should be fit to play, despite having had stitches in a shin he gashed in the United game.

From nffc.co.uk

I can see Commons bottling out of this the pansie.

Some took a chunk out of his shin at Old Trafford, It shouldve been his whole leg that came flying off. Liars, traitors and fat shits cannot be tolerated.

Cannot wait, though its just on the Tele for me, still a great occaision. Alot of Nottingham Lads in our squad, which I think is a major factor, and after analyzing the Derby game last nite (Laughing at Derby fans) This game will have a host of goals, Forest 3-2 Derby.

Wes Morgan, Bicycle Kick

Take it to 'em lads...........and don't forget to gargle with beer at halftime. Keeps the vocal cords well oiled.
A team is nowt without a chanting crowd and your locals will be well fired up hearing your chants for Forest.......

15 minutes before the kick off. Cant see Forest doing any good with this team no Wes Morgan.... disaster..... Lynch playing.... disaster.... Perch in midfield.....disaster.....Wilson cant be worse than last game he played. Perch should be in back four where his poor work rate wouldn't be noticed and he might just earn his corn and Thornhill should be in midfield or even Byrne. Hope I am totally wrong and have to eat my words.

Hardly creating anything of worth though were they. You had the odd chance, apart from barazite's sighter, there wasn't a great deal of difference tbh.

Fair result.

They outplayed us first, us them in the second.

Andersons injury could be bad. A fracture means its broken clean through - I couldnt quite tell from the footage if it was below or above the elbow.

Iv done it above the elbow and it could be anything from 2 - 12 months depending on type of fracture and how well it sets. Below and I imagine its probably less serious as there are two bones down there and the other supports it whilst it heals and there is less problem with how itr heals.

Agreed - They had possession but not many chances at all. We dealt with it well.

Harsh on Lynch - Barazite was just on fire and well - Cohen wasnt doubling back to help him when needed. Barazite is an absoloute class act.

That was more a change in emphasis IMO.

We were on top and Barazite was pinned back.

Lynch dealt with him pretty well in all honesty.

Fractured hand and dislocated wrist apparently, it looked awful, best wishes to the lad.
First half was poor no urgency at all they seemed happy to let Derby have the ball up until the final third and then just launched it in the direction of Tyson and Earnshaw expecting them to make something from pretty much nothing. Barazite looked very good, especially when you consider his actual position is central and not wide right.
No idea what happened at half time but Forest played really well for the first 15-20 minutes of the second half scored a very good goal and looked like they should have gone on to win but for some reason they just lost momentum almost like "well we've got our goal now" when they should have just kept going they were by far the better team.
Mccleary was excellent not seen much of him before but looks really exciting as opposed to Anderson who plays with his head down and runs into far too many blind alleys, i'd also like noted Smith was very good again you people should listen to me .

Ill level with everyone, Going to Derby is a ******* hard place to go and win, when they play aswell as they did tonite. Im happy with the phenomenal rearguard action, and Smithy still in form (Crosses, FFS though!); and just to say McCleary was amazing, made the difference in the second half, game of his life, a shoe-in to play on tuesday?

and, with the Billy Davies Circumstance, playing any better than we did was out of teh question. Fought hard for a replay - lets finish the ****in job.

second half performance was so much better than the first i think right up until andersons injury i think i t knocked the stuffing out of the lads ......as for lynch well please get rid and sometimes i thought chambers didnt know what he was doing but imo he improved ........this is a good result .... and oh yeah i thought tyson was great and his pace is just frightening ......

First half Forest were so poor but second half was more like it,i think 1-1 was a fair score although some poor defending nearly cost us at the end.
I thnik we can win the replay if we perform our best, hope it will be on tv agaiin.
i watched the game in a long eaton pub and no trouble there but apparently there was fighting in ilkeston and a derby fan was killed, this is from the message board on nottinghamforestmad website, hope its not true !
theres no need for violence, its only a game of football after all.

1-1 was fair result, it got a bit like last game against them..........Cross after cross came in right at the end of the match, and u kept thinking they were going to equalise. Commons missed a sitter, about 30 secs after coming on and wt a save it was by Smith to deny Hulse. Also looks like McCleary will get a run in the team now after Andersons injury. Only problem with him is, (if u can call it a problem) he lacks any defensive skills. He is a very attacking player and imo better then Anderson anyway although he has been improving. But Anderson does get back well and help the defence. Anyway a good result and hope we can finish em off back at the city ground.

It was a cracking game imo.
A draw was probably fair although both keepers made some good saves.
Robbie Savage is a fvcking cvnt who wants his legs chopping off.
Anderson could be out for a while
The atmosphere was fvcking amazing!
Never stopped singing throughout the whole match.
Probably the best atmosphere i have witnessed at a match.
There was also quite a lot of trouble in the stands and outside the ground

AND i must say PRIDE PARK IS ACTUALLY A **** HOLE.
Horrible ground imo.

We can take them at City Ground no problem, if we have Billy back, and Wes back.

No doubt BD has to consider signings now with Anderson getting injured and Cohen also getting an injury near the end.

Gareth McCleary was outstanding imo, just like the rest of the lads. Fantastic again from Luke Chambers and Ian Breckin.
and of course.

SUPER, SUPER ROB, SUPER, SUPER ROB, SUPER, SUPER ROB, SUPPER ROBBIED EARNSHAW!!!

I also won a tenner lol form the thing they do on the coaches where you pick the first scorer!

Andersons injury looked really bad and seeing it in slow motion made it look even worse. First half all direby then we improved drastically after the break. Lets stick it up em at our place and get that brian clough trophy too its proper home.
