Olić would be for free, so I can't see how can this harm to Bayern and future shopping.
He isn't an extra player, but strangely, he can give some new dimension to the team as 3rd or 4th striker.

it is clear Olic doesnt have the pure skills likes of Petric or Podolski have. Personally I dont think it will happen. Although one of my colleagues made a comment that maybe FCB needs somebody like olic: lots of effort, low profile, ready to ride the bench (?). I like olic how he brings energy, runs and works for the team - maybe these are qualities FCB could do more with?

It's confrimed, Olic is a Bayern player and we bought him for free. We can sell Podolski and use that money to buy Tymoschuk either in the winter trasnfer period or the summer, which we means we will get 3 players (Donovan on loan) for selling one that isn't working with us and practically break even.

As long as we get another great striker in the summer, I'm all for this. If this move stagnates that hunt for another great striker, I will be sad at the way they have handled it.

where do you see that we've signed Olic? I would love for this to happen as Ivica Olic is my boy as i've said many times before.. it would be great news in my opinion. but i can't find anything confirming this.

Yes, I can confirm that Bayern signed Olic. Rummenigge said it on tv and he also said to "Bild" that (because of this signing) they probably wont sign Mario Gomez in the summer.

anybody who doesn't want someone like Ivica Olic apart of their team is a ******* tool. that man runs more than anybody i've ever seen. he pours his heart out for whoever he's playing for whether it be Hamburg or Croatia. and if it happens to be a part of the Croatia>Albania deal then that sucks, because it's true.

It's a great piece of business. This move most likely will stagnate the deal between Gomez joining Bayern though, which will be a terrible, usual cheap movie from Hoeness..

I like Olic and all, he's a good player to have in the team. However, we must sign Gomez in the summer no matter what. We will have super depth in attack like we do in defense.

Gomez can be a starting star like Lahm is for us for many, many years. Usually Hoeness only thinks short term, which is why I'm afraid of the deal not happening. I still cannot believe Stuttgart rejected a 25m euro + extra euro based on performance last season!?

And yes Dakota, I do have the Bundesliga pack for FIFA 09!

I can tell you why Stuttgart rejected an offer like that: because some teams will not sell out for just money, they like to win too. and i'm still not sure why you're so hell bent on Mario Gomez. he would just turn into another Podolski.. why spend 25m+ when you can spend like ZERO on Olic who is 5x's the worker that can play LEFT MIDFIELD when Ribery is injured. a key opening in our team with one little blow. idc what you say, Olic>Gomez for me. 0m>25m+.
