Willem II out, what a bunch of losers

Let's hope Heerenveen will do a little better, they come in in the 3rd round and will play Lierse SK

Looks like Heerenveen is going to get through to the semi's

I see Nantes and Guingamp having more trouble than expected.. Nantes only won 2-1 against FC Wil.. same score that Willem II had against FC Wil in the first match..

Heerenveen could beat Wolfsburg and Bremen. But they could just as easily lose.

Heerenveen can't play Wolfsburg or Schalke.. If the progress the will meet the winner of Egaleo vs Koper and after that the winner of Villareal/Brescia vs Guingamp/Brno

Not a bad draw for them than... I mean Egaleo and Koper.. really never heard of em..

After that it already is the final isn't it? Ah well, if they beat first Lierse and after that Egaleo or Koper (which should be possible), they can only hope they don't get Brescia... Italian teams are always hard to conquer for Dutch teams, especially for non-top 3 Dutch teams..

Unknown does not mean easy.. Remember Heerenveen was defeated by Varteks Varazdin a few years ago..

And I think Heerenveen should be more trouble with villareal then with Brescia.. Spanish sides are really tough for Dutch sides.. Not Italian..

Nah, Spanish sides aren't as difficult as Italian sides.. Spanish sides play more open football, more like Dutch sides play too.. but Italian sides hardly give any space in defence, it's hard to score against them, especially for teams like Heerenveen who can only play with average strikers, and in attack Italian sides are very effective..

Dutch teams always have better results against italian teams then against spanish. So where are you talking about. More open play of the spanish is only a disadvantage since the spanish teams can use the difference in quality then.

No English sides in it this year.

Why not ? Fulham and Aston Villa were competing in it last season.

Koper won in Egaleo greece, that was total suprise!! They seem to have the wright combination of their players; Jakomin(played for Unterhaching 2 years), Trenevski was impressing through Intertoto, score only this year about 6 goals in intertoto competion...

Quote:

European Cups - Intertoto Cup
19:39 July 30

FT Cibalia Vinkovci 1 - 4 Wolfsburg

 81' SV Pasching 3 - 0 Werder Bremen (Ger)

20:00 Brno (Cze) ? - ? Villarreal (Spa)

20:00 Nantes (Fra) ? - ? Perugia (Ita)

20:00 SC Heerenveen (Hol) ? - ? NK Koper (Slo)

20:15 Schalke (Ger) ? - ? Liberec (Cze)
At the moment

As goes for Koper, they already for relegeting Zagreb, Dubnica and Egaleo they maded 200.000€ profit, a big bounch of money for a club with budget lower than 0.8m€ a year,...

They did won the opening game vs. Hertha on awaymatch. Goals came from Micoud and Ailton(pure luck),...

Wolfsburg played pretty good, but i watched the match on Eurosport, referee were whisteling fouls on D´alessandro that never occured...

herenveren-koper 2:0
Trenevski scored a post from free kick, also Jakomin wasted 2 very big chances!!!They played(koper) in slovenian national championship with Maribor(7years in the row slovenian champions). The resoult was Koper-Maribor 0:1(pekic-Nurnberg wanted to have him-but couldnt come out with the money).. referees were total disgrace, they helped Maribor to win... But Koper wasted a lot of chances, Trenevski had 3 amazing free kicks, but were miracously saved,...

You must know Koper isnt know to dropp points at home, they had 9 year unbeaten record at home, but last year they lost to maribor and 2 other teams,...

I think Koper can win this 1:0 or 2:1, but probably wont go on, but if they do, good luck,...

I think Schalke will play against Pasching at their final and i hope they will reach the UEFA-Cup.

Bremen lost all chances with this 4:0, it was bad to change the goalkeepers...

Koper-Herenveren 1:0
Koper had big chances to advance, the most incredible thing is next, sport manager of KOper played in first XI!! Jakomin scored. As I was saying before sport manager Alfred Jermaniš played!!! And also almost scored from a free kick!!!! Trenevski didnt played, but still, koper made the biggest succes in clubs history...
For information; Koper has a budget of 500.000€, Herenverren has a budget of 16.000.000€!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!1

Bozicic, jermanis, Benedejcic had big chances to score, they tried from the distance, jermanis from free kick, Jakomin on the end almost scored...

The biggest Stupido is ZNSL(slovenian league association) didnt alloved the 2 clubs Maribor and Koper, they played on 2nd/3rd a match, if they would just wait and give them a slovenian cup game with easier opponent they would have more chance, but they were both relegated,...

Finals, 1st leg results:

Perugia vs. Wolfsburg 1-0
Herrenveen vs. Villareal 1-2
Pasching vs. Schalke 0-2

Predictions:

Schalke, Wolfburg and Herrenveen make it through.

I'm so nervous about the Schalke game.

Heerenveen??

They lost their home match with 1-2, I doubt they're going to score 2 goals over there Villareal was just a too strong opponent for them
