There are speculations in Turkey that are saying that Man Utd is interested in Fenerbahce's young star. It is well known that Inter has been watching him for the last 4-5 months and Moratti really wants to bring him to Milano. Have anyone heard anything about Man Utd's interest in him?

If you don't know who he is, he is the player who scored the second goal of Turkey against USA in yesterday's Confederation's Cup game. (Turkey 2 - 1 USA)

A good finish from a tight angle...

Other than that, he dived too much for my liking, and was a bit greedy. Decent player - but no, I haven't heard of any spec linking him with us. Same thing happened last year after Ilhan Mansiz scored the winner against Senegal, talk was rife in Turkey that he would be joining 'one of the big clubs' ...

ilhan and tuncay are in two different class. tuncay is much better than ilhan and he is only 20 years old. ilhan mansiz is about 28. I guess that makes some difference, wright?

I haven't heard anything at all about our interest in him.

Don't think so.

I have never even heard of him, let alone of any interest?

Tuncay plays as a striker (for Turkiye at least) and is about 6 foot tall. Has a decent shot, and an eye for a good pass.

However, he is NOWHERE NEAR as good as Sami Eto'o. He dives frequently, feigns injury, and wastes far too many chances (the one against Cameroon was a good example of that). Admittedly, he IS only 20, but he isn't yet capable of leading the United's attack as well as Ruud or Samuel ... :USA_Blue's_Smiley

i think we should probably look at buying eto'o then if he is better than sanli, cos eto'o himself is pretty young isnt he? bout 22? he would be a good signing, though kluivert would possibly be better as he would have a good partnership upfront with RVN since they play together in the internationals

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't it been said time and time again that RvN and Kluivert don't work together particularly well as a striking force.
He looks set to go to Arsenal anyway, as he stated something along the lines of - Arsenal play my kind of football, their style is more european (no f ing wonder they do - most of their team are french)

I'd love to see Andriy Schevchenko come to United to form a striking partnership with RvN, but it's never going to happen - James Beattie/Thierry Henry would be brilliant - but there's not much chance of us getting either of those either.
