Wenger - Fcuking Hypocrite

Diaby tackle "Was a bit high" , why you fcuking , if his leg had been planted that was a legbreaker and he deserved the red card.

Eagerly awaiting calls for a 6 month ban from Sepp Blatter which i somehow doubt will be forthcoming

Wenger said it was a red card, he said you can't tackle like that I suggest you listen harder.

I know he said that in the heat of the moment and apologized the next day. But the fact is the incident were very similar but Wenger defended Diaby and attacked Taylor.

He also retracted that, admitted it was wrong. Diaby's had his ankle broken a couple of seasons ago so I think he'll know how serious it is. I still think tackles like that should get more than a red card for a deliberate foul in the area or a small slap or gesture towards another player

Go look at it again, Diaby catches his foot, it's not halfway up his shin like Taylor's.

Foot or not it was still dangerous and a legbreaker if his studs were planted, thank god they wernt.

Wenger may have retracted his statement but he still didn't apologuise to Taylor, something Ferguson/Quieroz had the balls to do when mentioning it a while back.

Taylor still got all the death threats and crap from fatso at Fifa, yet here we are a tackle that could easily had have similar consequences and half of North London is looking the other way pretending it didn't happen.

Bottom line is if your going to go ape sh!t over mistimed tackles then at least have the balls to say the same should be done to your player when he commits a similar "attack" as Blatter puts it.

Are there any Arsenal fans saying Diaby shouldn't get a 3 game ban? Diaby's foul was never going to break Steinsson's leg, there's a big difference going in half way up someones shin and landing your studs on the side of another players boot.

Funnily enough no one has come out in defence of Diaby and said it shouldn't have even been a yellow

Even though it was a shocker and couldve easily broke some bones....you really have to remember that it didnt.

I know it comes down to luck, because on another day- something nasty couldve happened, and on another day- Eduardos leg might not have broken...but it did.

And I think you should take the outcome into any decision about ban extension.

I've seen it, it definately was not on his foot, more like the ankle, which, like Daves said would have broken had it been planted.

The extra couple of inches higher that Taylors was is pretty irrelevant - Anything above the joint is a leg breaker if studs are planted.

Of course though surely Diaby could have pulled out of the tackle.....Well at least thats what certain people were claiming about Taylors.....

I forgot, Taylor was the victim in this

Diaby's challenge was awful and as i said elsewhere, "mistiming" is a bullsh*t excuse. He should get banned for 6games.

Saying that, if he could have injured the bolton lad, he didnt, unlike Taylor.

As for Wengers coments, he said it was a red unlike Bruce or others who thought Taylors was barely a yellow card so saying that he is an hypocrite is easy. What was he supposed to say? Say, live on tv, that his player is a scumbag and deserved to be put in jail? Get real.

Ankle breaks can be just as bad as leg breaks.

And I am fairly sure it was ABOVE the joint and could have done damage to the leg just above the ankle.

but when you play football what reason do you have to have your foot up as high as Taylor's? If your going to raise your foot that high you atleast need to be careful about it. Diaby's foul was reckless, hence the 3 game ban but to suggest it was as stupid as Taylor's is ridiculous

An ankle is an ankle, it's no more a leg than a foot

The knee and the hip is part of the leg, so is the ankle

wait a minute i heard wenger say you cant tackle like that and he deserved to go - maybe you need to watch the official interviews and not read stories off your clubs fans forums - and there is no way on this planet it was even remotely as bad as taylors - thats simply laughable

As mentioned, Wenger did say it was a Red Card and a bad tackle, so where is the Hypocrasy (sp...)

And what Arsenal fan has said otherwise?

You've created an Arsenal argument and then tried to argue it....
