CC's Replacement.....?
I apologise if this has already been done (and the way he has got us playing this last 3 years, it should have been) but if , and when, CC gets the bullet , who would you want in place of him and would they realistically come here?

Don't really think a thread like this is appropriate until such time that forest are in search of a new manager coz lets face it although things aren't looking that rosey at the mo, we COULD still go up and cc will still be our manager.

i see it all as a fairly irrelevent thing to be speculating as to future mangers when the current one is still emplyed and likely to be so for the next 2-3 months
no duoubt everyone will throw around Nigels name
don't see the point. he's already said he doesnt want pressure and that he enjoys his life at Burton too much.
you'd have to look at up and coming managers, Ince has a good track record, doubt hed come here
any up and coming manager would see us a poson chalice now. do any research and you can see how quick the fans are on their back
and if anyone says Pearce as a valid potential future manager they need their head looking at

I was just wondering what peoples preference would be, if the board do say enough is enough and get rid. Don't mean to ruffle any feathers guys.

Much too early for this thread but it points out a big thing...
Who would we really get?
Ince is arguably the best balance between quality/realism I have heard but even so I dont think he has proved that much yet. I actually think the only reason he has gained a reputation so fast is he is constantly in the press moaning that the only reason he isnt managing in the Prem is racism. Plus as has been said - Would he come here knowing it could instantly kill his promising managerial career? There will surely be some Champ jobs available in the summer too....
There are VERY few viable candidates. And for the record - Clough has said previously he doesnt want to go into league management. And before you ask no I dont have a link to it or anything but I think its pretty well known

i think the clough thing is now just a rumour, i believe it was years ago that he said that.
ince did a miracle job at macclesfield and has now shown he has what it take to take a club up first time of asking, so like i said perfect candidate. we need someone to take us up, and then do a miracle job to keep us there before pushing for the prem!

He has done pretty well.
But I dont think he has done anything THAT special. Keeping a team in League Two and taking the biggest team in that league into the top 2. I certainly wouldnt complain if he came here but at the same time I would prefer someone a little more experianced, especially given the massive pressure that being Forest manager and having our set of ****wit fans brings with it.
Also I think it would be a bad move for him personally and given the amount of hype he managed to whip up around him - A midtable/playoff Champ team may well poach him in the summer. Also with such huge aspirations and his seeming impatiance to get there...IF he did ok with us - He may well shoot straight off.

Normally I'd frown upon threads like this, but it's been rumoured for quite some time that failure of promotion equals a loss of job for the manager this season and we have to admit promotion (at least automatic promotion) is looking increasingly less likely by the game. Seeing as we are currently 8 points behind Donny (though with a game in hand) and games are running out. We're not in good form, the current tactics aren't working, even though we seem to be picking up points away, whereas we were just losing before, we've shown we can drop points at home.
Now tomorrow we have a very difficult trip to Southend when Donny/Carlise both have very winable matches, both at home, giving them a greta chance to pull further away.

Forgot about that. The O'Neil thing was quite funny.
Paul Ince still seems the only reasonable name put forward, but there are still doubts whether he'd join us.

Calderwood's not brilliant but in all fairness I don't think there's anyone else out there who we could attract who'd actually be any better. Until we're in the Championship we'll struggle to attract a decent manager. We have more expectations at this football club than a lot of premiership sides but we're a league one club. That's a lot of pressure for any manager and I look at the managers in our league and the one below and don't really think they'd be doing a better job than CC. I'm just hoping he can get us up - then we can sack him in september after the inevitable bad start then we can get someone half decent in. My big worry is that if we fail to get promotion this year we'll be stuck in this division for years because of the players we'll lose and how much more money will Doughty be willing to pump in before he just says enough is enough and we become the Wolves of Division 3 - always threatening promotion but never quite getting there.

on FM08 I got rid of Scott Dobie and Ian Breckin.
Signed Leon Best! and Darren Kenton.
Played 4-4-2 attacking with Davies on Commons on the wings (had loanee replacements if they got injured) Agogo or Holt with Tyson.
Got to the premiership won League One by about 15 points! Went up through the CCC now currently considering my future due to being given **** all budget by Doughty!
Anyone reckon I should apply for the job>?

I'm your rival for the job then
1st season in charge, I got us promoted.
Was in the championship for 2 years before I got promoted to the prem! (was lucky i must admit) and I was lucky for another 2 years surviving relegation)
Then I waved my wand, made a star out of Lewis Mcgugan
I also had us playing in a luxury stadium like this.... (reeling the cash in)
Made us a 4 1/2 star team

Well with that game I got a bit peed off issued an ultimatum and Doughty hired Gary Megson!
Made a star of Lewis too!
Started a new game in charge of York City! In the Blue Square we're now competing in the premier league! Taken a while 9 days game time season 2017 I think! (Had the game a long time, before it came out) Play the Paul Hart diamond! Beat Forest in the league one play off finals.
Yess Mr Doughty give me the job I'lll be a yes man then as soon as im in the job I'll lock my office door sign some decent players and get rid of some of the tosh, Mark Arthur on his way then!

Tyson probably as we'll want some cash for him as his contract has a year left.
Breckin would go his contract is up.
CCC would come in for Wilson, Cohen, maybe Mcgugan he seems to get a fair bit of good press but has been playing crap recently. Morgans have a great season too.

well indeed right now there is better option to bring in, i think thats its a mistake to change manager when he cant at least bring in his own players. which he could only do with loanees who are never that good

I cant see anything happenening b4 we know whether we are up or stay down. Our next manager should have bags of experience not be an inexperienced wannabe who hasnt had a managerial job for more than 5 mins.

Miss Jack Lester time like this think Ormerod is our first replacement for him!
He was always good even when things wern't going our away. Tricky player and formed good partnerships with Grant Holt and Junior Agogo.

Next Forest manager? well it won't be long now
It would have to be somebody positive, someone who loves Forest,a man renowned for positive attacking football.
I would love to see Nigel back, possibly with Pyscho ?
an outsider,possibly Paul Ince?

Russel Slade for me.
Players manager, Forest fan. Plays the game in a simple way based on attacking football and cleen sheats. Done well at Yeovil with **** all money and attracted players like Cohen and Best there.
Oh and he plays 442 with two wingers and strikers!
