Has anyone noticed how few chances Real Madrid create?? Over the two legs they cant have created more than 10-12 chances compared to Man Utds 15-20, never have i known a team to finish chances so clinically.
However RM are very pretty to watch but they dont seem to create many chances, they mesmerize u with short passes and little flicks and it looks very good, but i dont rate them that highly. I fancy Juve's chances, they will be much better organised than Man Utd were and we showed how crap RM's defence is, just ours played crapper lol

Well judgiung by reports from Spain they were not happy with the 3-1 score in the first leg, so i am guessing they were trying to score more in that game but didnt.
Look at their 6 goals
1. Lucky or brilliant strike
2. Mistake from Scholes
3. Shot from edge of area
4. Shocking positioning from Ferdinand and Barthez
5. Brilliant play
6. Shot from edge of area
Can anyone think of many other chances they created? Excluding the 2 long shots, which were half chances they actually created one brilliant goal from teamwork where they opened up the defence

Well as i said they felt they needed to score more in the first leg but didnt. Look at their results this season in europe, they have scraped through and u cant cut it that fine by design.
They will be shown up by an organised Italian team, who wont be bemused my short passes and flicks

Why would they be bemused by YOUR short passes and flicks
I think they are like a thoroughbred racehorse that only ever seems to do enough to win and never pound the opposition.

Excelsior why do you hate Man Utd but like Real Madrid, surely they both have the qualities you hate in them?

After watching tonight's game, I'm more confident about our chances against Real. We even know well some of those players so we shouldn't be surprised, and I think Zidane will be controlled well like he was in France-Italy of 98 and 2000. Too bad Davids won't be around.
Real's defence is quite poor for a team of that calibre, probably cos all those flair midfielders are not so good at defending and going down to help the defence.

I agree, they have been way overhyped, just becuase they keep the ball very well does not make them the best team the world has ever seen. they dont create all that many chances as a team and rely on individuals to do a bit of flair.
Watch them in Europe other than the two legs and in a lot of spanish league matches and they look average, as when the flair players cant produce they cant do it as a team.
Juve v AC final i say, anyone but overhyped RM!!

Personally I would have preferred to meet Real in a 1 legged match (that is the final) as I think they`re much more vulnerable that way.
But oh well, we will as usual play with all the determination we can offer and go for a win.

But Man Utd have already beaten Juve home and away
Form suggests an easy win for Real

Come on, we all know in what circumstances that happened.
But if you want to use that logic, than we can say that Juve will win at the Bernabau cos Roma defeated RM 1-0 and even Milan won at San Siro against the spaniards. Also Barca drew 1-1 at the Bernabau, etc etc
That line of thought does not hold. Each game has it's own story, and even though I'm scared of the first leg seeing how we shall miss Davids, Montero and Tacchinardi (and Trezeguet still doubtful), I'm sure we can give it all and go for a win.

Depends how Juve defence kept their discipline like what they did at the Nou Camp, not like what they did against us in Turin.
This Real side is capable of scoring at anytime, think Juve will also want revenge for the 98 final defeat.

I'm well aware of that ZZ
My comment was tongue-in-cheek as who the hell can predict football matches????
Also a dig at the idiots on here who continue to put down Real Madrid. They are the most entertaining side in the CL for years and yet people are trying to find fault!! What do you want?? Liverpool and Inter in a classic final???
Seems to me, the very fans who accuse all other premiership fans of being "jealous" are suffering from the same symptoms

 Excellent point.
What I meant was that RM are beatable, just like Juve were beatable by Utd. I think if we really had to draw the 4 teams that deserved the semis, they should have been RM, Utd, Juve and Milan. Inter are really a fish out of their water

Entertaining as they keep hold of the ball??? They are a collection of individuals and thus will never be as good to watch as a complete unit. Yes technically they are brilliant but if you get an organised team against them they will come rapidly unstuck.
The RM team of 98 was much better than this one.
I cant believe how people have been overhyping them, some were even saying this might be the greatest football team ever!! Get a grip they played a crap man utd - 1st leg - and a useless defensive performance 2nd leg and still only won 6-5

Inter in the Semifinals (playin against a team they CAN beat)(even if they've lost 2 times on 2 against them, this season) is INCREDIBLE! How come? UEFA make a new immediate rule to eliminate Inter, c'mon! That's worse than South Corea in the Semi.

Everybody has clubs he likes and dislikes. I also dislike 2 little Dutch clubs: Sparta and Haarlem. Other teams I dislike are: Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV, Glasgow Rangers, Man. Utd, Wimbledon FC and Barcelona. From all those teams are Ajax, Wimbledon FC and Sparta the only ones I really hate!

Do u actually mean hate or just dislike, cos seems awful lot of energy to be wasted on it. What would be the point in hating any club?
