When Bosingwa comes back, and he goes back to RB, Fucile to LB.. I would like to see Cech back in the DM role..I kinda liked him there.

I don't see a point as to wee signed Lucas Mareque...never impressed me

Cech as a DM is good defensively, but his final ball is shocking.

He can't cross or weight a pass properly.

Thats why fucile plays ahead of him generally.

Yeah Fucile is more of an offensive threat, we got Bosingwa on one side might as well put out another one on the other.

I like our fullback options, and you are right, Cech is very good defensively, but I like seeing him play, either DM or LB.

What I didn't like with Fucile at the start was he would play literally by himself, wouldn't pass..but hes starting to give up the ball alot more, especially against Chelsea in the second leg

We almost used all 3 subs, Ibson out for Meiereles, Bruno Alves out for R.Costa and Helton almost came off for Baia..

Average game at best, to many fouls and 6 minutes of stoppage time in the first half..

It looks like Bruno Alves will miss the Sporting match, groin injuries take a few weeks to heal, hopefully not

We aren't playing well, but its tough in Funchal, the scoreline is good.

I'm not sure why Licha didn't start, maybe injury or tiredness?

The Maritimo goal looked like a foul to me, Helton had the ball firmly in his hands and the other guy headed it out.

Once the ball is in the keepers hands you can't just kick or head it out of them.

Helton-3 Looked good, but he should have been stronger for their goal
Fucile-4.5 MOM Excellent defensively, attacking and held the ball up astutely at the end.
Pepe-4 Another great performance
B.Alves-4 Played well, set up a goal, before being injured
Cech-3 Started excellently, faded. His final ball was poor towards the end again.

Lucho-3 Invisible for large parts of the game, played better 2nd half
Quaresma-3/3.5 Far too greedy at times, but most the danger comes from him. Finished the game well
Renteria-3 Didn't have much of the ball, but when he did he used it wisely by short passing, or holding the ball up.
Adriano-3.5 Took his chance well, and nearly scored a beauty on 90mins. His touch can let him down, but he is a good finisher

i watched the second half of this game and all i saw was maritimo rape porto especially marcinho i wouldent mind having him as a bench player in benfica at all considering we have the worst bench in all of portugal.
