Sparks, maybe that's because Fergie has already had him shut it down.

I love the way we see Fergie as this super power who can just nod and bring down a internet website The reality is that he could more the likely do it .

**** that, if he bids for defour and we dont then it pretty much proves that we have no money at all. Fergie's been after him for quite a while.

Manchester United and Arsenal could lose out to Real Madrid in the chase for Germany World Cup star Mesut Ozil after the midfielder declares "I love Spain".

I saw a rumour few days ago about a Rossi return.

Just seen Daily Star have picked up on it and said we will use our buy back clause and get him for £12m.

Probably come about due to his goals vs Spurs.

Ozil has supposedly told Werder they need to lower his price.

Annan's agent keeps banging on that don't rule out a move to us.

Bolton have joined race for Cleverley.

We're getting linked with Diarra yet again.

Seen a link of Diouf to Blackburn.

Sunderland still want Welbeck.

Did this massive influx of information all get put together after people claimed you do to many one line posts ?

As for the transfer info I'd say Bolton would be a good choice for Cleverley . I wouldn't be happy with Diouf going to Blackburn as big Sam tends to play with one lone striker and I dont think that would suit Diouf at all . Why would Sunderland want Welbeck when they have Bent , Jones and Campbell for me it would be a bad move as he would just be 4th choice all season .

I think most of us would rather hold on to Cleverley now if we don't sign another midfielder but in all fairness I guess he does need a regular set of games.

Concerning what Sparky mentioned about the Bolton interest, story below.

Lancashire News:

Quote:
Bolton Wanderers set to beat Newcastle United to Manchester United winger Tom Cleverley

According to reports Bolton Wanderers have emerged as favourites to land Manchester United winger Tom Cleverley.

The Mirror claims Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is in talks with his United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson about taking the England Under-21 prospect on loan.

It seems he is hoping to land him in the next few days.

United are willing to let Wanderers have Cleverley as long as Coyle assures Ferguson that he will be in his first-team plans.

Cleverley is highly-rated at United and impressed in a loan spell at Watford last season.

Newcastle have also been interested in taking Cleverley on loan as have Stoke City and Blackpool.

If they aren't resigning Wilshire then this is a very good move for him. Not too far away from home either.

Welbeck to Blackpool and Diouf to Blackburn now please.

Sounds like a great plan

If Cleverley goes on loan and Fergie does not register Hargo or Ando in the 25 man squad I'm inclined to believe that he MUST be looking to bring someone in. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part

Well you have until 1st September to submit your squad, so Sir Alex would know before then whether to included Anderson and/or Hargreaves.

If we don't include either and don't bring anyone in, that leaves us on 23 players.

Don't understand his comments regarding that tbh, unless he has his numbers wrong.

If Anderson will be fit for September/October I think he will register him for sure. Hargo I'm not too sure about. Best case scenario would be Fergie registering Ando and bringing in Ozil to leave us with 25 players

Not to do with us but I think he is a player we should be looking at. Would be below £10m too.

Quote:
Hoffenheim officials have met with Hatem Ben Arfa in an effort to lure the Frenchman to Germany.

The 23-year-old winger appears destined to be on his way out of Marseille this summer and must weigh up his options before deciding on his next move.

Hoffenheim are among those to have shown the most interest, with the ambitious Bundesliga outfit looking to make a splash in the transfer market.

They announced their intention to move for Ben Arfa earlier this week and have since held discussions with the player and his current employers.

"With coach Ralf Rangnick, we met Hatem and Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo," said Hoffenheim assistant coach Peter Ziedler.

"We were immediately on the same wavelength. Hatem made a good impression on us and we absolutely want him."

As the famous line in the Nativity play goes:

"There is no room at the Inn".

Seriously, where would he fit in, as a winger? Park, Obertan, Valencia, Nani. We're covered well, IMHO.

That's before we even get on to problems with his attitude ...

He's left footed, something we don't have.

Also, past Nani and Valencia, it's very thin. Park as a winger offers nothing apart from application and endeavor, Obertan is still very raw and has a lot of growing up to do.

Neither fill me with a lot of confidence, therefore I'd welcome a decent winger to shake things up.

I see where you're coming from, but I must disagree with you on Park. It's too late in the evening for me to go into things (the pro-Park arguments in his dedicated thread probably articulate my opinion better, in any case).

You should also ask yourself why the champions of France are so willing to let him go to a lesser club if he's a decent winger.

Could say the same for Obertan, Bordeaux sold him for a measly £3m.

You can't deny that Ben Arfa is talented, probably hasn't worked out for him at Marseille and hence why they are willing to let him go. I'd be willing to take a risk, given that he could turn out to be the player he was always touted to be.

Watched him live when he played at Old Trafford for Lyon a few seasons back and wasn't impressed at all . Cant see us even considering him to be honest and I dont believe we need him either .
