when momo is back....

would you rather have him partner alonso and shift gerrard to right side or will you stick with the gerrard/xabi partnership?

imo,the tough decision has to be made to leave him out of the team, and continue with gerrard(who has been ****in awesome when he has been in the middle) alongside alonso.that for me is our best central mid field pair and we should stick with them.its a tough choice to leave momo out,but tough choices have to be made.

what do you peeps reckon?

but other injuries preventing.....

-----------Reina

Finnan---------------Riise
-----Gerrard Momo Xabi
--------Bells Kuyt

I wouldnt want to see Gerrard at RM again, he did good there aswell; but he can do so much more in the middle. And Playing 2 DMs is a tad to excessive in the majority of games, should only be used in the tougher games.

So if we had to stick with 4-4-2....id prefer to keep Gerrard at CM and Xabi as his main partner, but 'rotating' with Momo. But then we're stuck with Pennant at RM probably

The reason why I said no comment is because it is a difficult decision.

my team is similar to that. id like to see all three of them, with gerrard in a free role, like macca used to play

got to say I agree, we have to find room for all of them, I like the 3-5-2.

the 352 is the best way to accomodate the players , the way gerrard is playing at the second it would be an injustice to play him on the right

gerrard was awesome yesterday, if you ask me the only real difference in the game was that we took chances, they didnt!

If we play 442, then simply it has to be Xabi and Steevie in the middle, obviously if we switch to 352 for games, ala Wigan, then we can accomodate them, but I think that despite the 4-0 win on Sat, it showed that 352 can be exploited defensively, we had a ew problems in exactky the same areas I stated when we all debated wether to use it or not.

A valid point, but as I said in the other thread, I think we need to pick and choose who we use it against, a better team will have taken more chance to expolit it.

You can easily play a 3-5-2 so it ends up being a 5-3-2 though, and it would accomodate all first-team deserving players when fit.

Then u lose the width, unless u tell the wing backs to get forward, and then thats 352.

I think Rafa is clever enough as shanks says to pick and choose.
