DIDIER DROGBA has taunted Samuel Eto’o ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

The European giants meet in the last 16, with the first leg at Stamford Bridge on February 22.

And the Blues star had news for his Barca strike rival, bragging: “I’m better than you — and I’ll prove it.”

Drogba, 27, leads the Ivory Coast into the African Nations Cup final against hosts Egypt today, while Cameroon star Eto’o is back in Spain after a humbling quarter-final exit.

He missed his second shootout penalty against Ivory Coast, before Drogba converted the deciding spot-kick in a epic 12-11 win.

Drogba said: “I’m the best player in Africa and I’m going to prove it.

“I’m better than Eto’o — the only difference is he knows how to publicise himself. If you are talking about football, I am a better player.”

Oh come on please... Eto'o with one leg is better than him.

nutcase, the only advantage he has on Et'o is the ability to be a target man.

Other than that- Eto'o wins hands down- shooting, pace & dribbling.

I do like Drogba as a player, and he isnt rated as much as he should be because people listen too much to Andy gray rather than form their own opinions on him Especially loved it when he made ALL of Liverpools defence look like idiots.

However he isnt as good as Eto'o, although he is overated I feel.

Yeah, I think the fact he is a bit of a cvnt with his whinging and moaning at the ref for 90mins clouds his actual game, I dont like him for that, but he is still good player. And certainly would walk into Liverpools attack.

But I agree he has and inflated ego.

Got to hand it to Drogs, he made our defence look like mugs in that game. He hasnt repeated that performance in the Chelsea colours though.

and I cant beleive he plays for chelsea - with all their millions I'd have thought they would have had a better strikeforce.
dont get me wrong here I just think they could have better than drogba and gudjohnson

crespo is awesome though

I personally think Eto'o is the more talented striker..

I think Drogba just wanted to fire things up, as the chelsea-barca game is getting closer.. This may persuade Mourinho to let Drogba start the Barca game and maybe even play for full 90 mins without subbin him off for crespo. I think that's what Drogba wants.

I do think Drogba is underrated to be honest. He has changed my opinion. On his day he can be a top class target man and his finishing has improved imo.

However, Eto'o is one of the best strikers in the world imo. Drogba is nowhere near this level yet.

I was not impressed at all when we were linked with him - but honestly, hes done really well bar scoring

I've slated nando recently because he just doesnt look a threat, but I still think hes better than drogba

dont get me wrong here I just think they could have better than drogba and gudjohnson

For once Chelsea didn't use crazy amounts of money to buy better strikers to replace Drogba and C.Cole ... yet you still disaprove.

If chelsea DID use more millions to buy 2 different strikers, you would also disaprove at the fact that they have lots of money etc.

btw., Gudjohnson isn't a striker for chelsea anymore, he plays midfield 99% of the time.

Hmm, Drogba is better than Nando IMO. When Nando players for pool he really does nothing.

I mean, when Drogba isn't playing well that day he still manages to score with his knee.

didnt chelsea pay £24m for drogba?

personnally I just dont rate him and think that chelsea could do better
