That's the difference, paying to see a team and watching a stream.

well I should hope so, considering it is looking more like a galacticos type of side, bar the Bellamy's and Santa Cruz's.

last 5/6 ? what about 10 yrs ago in the old div 3 still gates of 34,000 turning up though to watch the worst team we have ever had, yet now we get a few quid, and people that never ever go to games just sit on a pc and rant and rave how we are up ourselves, and we dont deserve anything,
what a joke i have spent thousands over the years going one year
macclesfield, stockport,lincoln,tranmere, gillingham, cambridge etc
to another, going places like villa, west ham, everton, newcastle, norwich etc
yet you all seem to sit at your pc having a dig at us now,
one thing you can not call us is gloryhunters as we were there when we were ****. and if we win **** all we will still be there

Where did I say I'd "rather"?

Some of my best memories of watching City where when we were in the lower leagues; contrasted to the winless seasons at the bottom of the Premiership.

And Morrison was a quality defender FYI

Time for Lerner to listen to the fans after two big managerial appointment gaffes.

Will anyone at City really give a **** about the wages/turnover % if they win big this season? Will anyone at the club care if Chelsea don't turn into a profitable club in 2010, as Kenyon has promised, but bring home the Champions League?

Nope. And the fans of both teams will love it if insane spending gets them success - Villa fans will look on, enviously, from their high horse/shiny pub.
Foresight, take a bow.

I think it's conditioning. With owning the Cleveland Browns in the NFL; he's used to working within a salary cap. Mind you, neither the Browns or Aston Villa are top teams in their respective leagues but both share a rabid fan base.

That being said, how much is he suppose to drop into a business venture that won't make him money? It's Business 101; put in what you have to make make it a feasible venture. Not everyone is an oil baron and who knows how long that will last before the bottom falls out of that. I think when you make money like Lerner has compared to an oil sheik; it's a different thought process.

Pardon my French, but oil money lives "n*gger rich". Go out and spend it while you have it and end up broke after a few years.
