He wasn't sold to depor. He was sold to atletico via some investment bull**** then loaned out to depor. In the games he played for atletico he did well. They wouldn't spend the cash unless they had the confidence he can turn into a good player.

Ah you're right, that wasn't clear from the a bola article.

TBH I thought he was pretty average every time I saw him play for atletico

He did ok. Once he lost his spot as the second half of the season started he struggled to get his spot back. He really should have spent last season at Braga. His game could have gotten alot better.

I'd obviously be very happy if he became a good player, we need more portuguese forwards, but I'm not sure he'll ever make it to the top level

He's just another pacos-style player in the end, they are all the same...quick, good at counter attacks, but very average players

I said he was a forward, which he is, he's a wing forward, like cr7, hulk etc.
