Wilshere Not Going Out on Loan

Quote:
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he plans to keep Jack Wilshere at the club for the new season.

Wilshere enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bolton last season and was tipped to go out on another loan this term.

Bolton have expressed a keen interest in bringing the talented midfielder back to the Reebok Stadium, while a number of other Premier League sides are understood to be monitoring the 18-year-old's situation.

However, Wenger insists Wilshere will stay at Arsenal as he is set to figure in his plans for the upcoming campaign.

"I think I will keep him (this season)," Wenger said. "He can play on the flank or in the middle, deeper or wider as well. He should get a few games."

Good news imo. He looks ready to play in the first team imo and with Ramsey out the picture for a while he'll play a few more games in central mid I would have thought.

Yeah I agree, very good news. I think Jack really came into his own during his loan spell. Regular first team action is what he needs, and I think he'll get quite a few sub appearances during the season.

Not sure if he'll get many chances but he deserves them, been really impressed with him whenever i've seen him.

He will. Arsene is going about him the same way he went with Fabregas. He'll start atleast 2 or 3 games imo. Probably against Blackpool or so.

A definite starter in Carling Cup games, 2-3 starters in PL and a few off the bench cameos (in both the PL and FA cup) will be absolutely fantastic for him.

Impressive at Bolton but Arsenal are spoilt with options in midfield, I can't see him break through, as much as I would love to see that. Then again, he's very much gonna take Ramsey's spot in the squad.

The thing that impresses me so much with Wilshere is how tenacious he is. To use some ridiculous cliches he's got the technique and skill of a continental player and the spirit and attitude of an English player.
