Stay in Bundesliga, at least for a few more years.....

Otherwise, I think Man U is a good place to go ...

So what should Werder do?

Stick with Özil and hope for a good CL campaign (= million of Euros) and lose him for free next year or sell him now and hope for a decent fee?

I prefer him playing in Arsenal, but the EPL is too physical for him. That's why I hope he can move to a club in the Spanish league which isn't Barca or R.Madrid.
Atl.Madrid, Villareal, or Sevilla could be the case.

No

I think Arsenal would suit this guy best tbh, I cant see where he would fit for us in the grand scheme of things, great player though he appears to be

Barcelona would be stupid.
Their midfield is close to perfect, where would he fit in?

The club is too massive for him at this point of his career.
He needs to play.

I don't know about other clubs but Arsenal and ManU have been trying for him for a long time, but this WC has brought him into the limelight in a huge way, and I don't see Wenger signing him tbh.

Had he still not become this famous, we would've had a chance. We like to sign relatively unknown players rather than the famous ones

Cuatro report a 12-15 million agreement between Werder Bremen and Barcelona for Ozil.

Barca is starting to piss me off with their World XI and then World XI B team that they want to get every single summer. I will be beyond furious if this kid is kept at the bench next season by Barca so the youth players like Pedro start over him nearly every important match. Kid needs to play, if they buy him I hope he gets loaned for one more season

Fresh news: Guardiola doesn't want Ozil. That's what I thought all the time. I like this player a lot, he's a more physical version of Silva in my opinion, but we don't need this type of player right now.

That's great news, you guys have the most stacked midfield talent in the planet I do not think he would get a lot of time.

The German media are reporting that Ozil is on the verge of signing a five year contract with Real Madrid in a deal worth 16ME.

The English and other German media say he is going to Manchester United. United would be a good move - coach Ferguson has an excellent reputation for developing young players. I'm sure he sees a young Giggs in Ozil.

Madrid would suck (God I hate the Ronaldo bitch) and ManU would be a lot of pressure as well.

I could see him signing for Real simply because Khedira is already there.
He seems like a very shy person so another German could make him feel
more comfortable.

Real Madrid have had an offer for Manchester United and Chelsea target Mesut Ozil firmly turned down by his Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.

Germany international midfielder Ozil has been the focus of intense transfer speculation since he refused to sign a new contract at the Weserstadion.

Bremen's director of sport Klaus Allofs this week revealed that not one single offer had been received for the 21-year-old.

That changed on Friday night when Real's director of sport Jorge Valdano confirmed to Germany's ZDF television during the interval of Bayern Munich's friendly match with the Spanish club that an official offer had been made.

It did not take long for Bremen to respond, turning down the offer out of hand.

"We have received an unacceptable offer that does not even provide any basis for negotiations," said their director of sport Allofs.

Bremen make their Champions League debut against Sampdoria next Wednesday and, should Ozil take part in that game, that would rule him out of appearing in the competition for another club this season and, hence, make him a less attractive target.

Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is therefore preparing to ask Valdano to return to Bremen with a better bid.

"He is a very good player and I would be delighted were he to come to us," said the Portuguese coach after his side's penalty shoot-out win over Bayern.

"Bremen have said no, so we will have to see how things develop.

"If he comes, it would certainly be excellent. Ozil would definitely help us."
Looks like he'll be going to Real Madrid.

Got a funny feeling we'll sign him on a pre-contract for next season, we'll see...

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if he has a pre-contract with a big team so he can play for one more season in Germany. I really think he should stay at Bremen for 1 or 2 years, especially 1 more year.

I don´t think so. If he comes he comes now as an alternative for injured Kaka. Otherwise he will be going somewhere else next year, ManU or Arsenal propably, where he is really needed (if Fab goes to Braca).
