Under 3 weeks until the new season and i would say we are now 5 players short. There needs to be a lot in the pipeline that's for sure! i thought we needed 3 big players in the summer, a left back, a midfielder, and either a striker or a winger. we now need all of those plus cover at the back for the loss of perch. We have a weaker side this season at present than last, we really need to start signing players. I'm not normally one to panic, and i'm still not, but i am getting a little edgy that i have spent 500 quid on a new season ticket and we are making a profit in the transfer window... Not what i was expecting to say the least! I think Pratley will sign in the next week once he turns the swans offer of a new deal down, we will sign him for around a million in my opinion.

Because he is miles better then Adebola, McGoldrick, Tyson.
Which was prooved last season, in the 2 games at the end of the season where he actually played up front, he scored twice.

Half happy/half pissed off.
I think he is a fantastic prospect and I would have loved to have him in the team - But it's better he gets some first team football and hopefully we get him back firing on all cylinders.
Much, much, much better than Tyson, Adebola or Gold Dick.

so we got blackstock & earnshaw up front, fair enough that's good.... but then 1 of them gets injured and who we got? adebola.....
As Tysons more a winger now, mcgoldricks injured... and garners on loan....
lack of strikers now....
:S
Well at least it's only a 6 month 1, if he comes back off loan in amazing form it could benefit us
Unless we let Garner go cos we're close to gettin Jay Simpson maybe? :S

Surely he is making way for signings , to let him go without signing players would be suicide , if we dont sign anyone between now and the start of the season i will be very pissed off ........

I think a few people are getting carried away with the talents of Joe Garner. If he was so good, he'd have gone to a bigger club than Huddersfield. IMO he doesn't really have an attribute that catches the eye. No real pace, under 6 foot, and doesn't really scare defenders. That's why he didn't play last season. He's got a decent nose for goal, but his record isn't mind blowing. There are a few end of season kick around goals in there.
To me it's the ideal solution to get him regular football. If he scores hatfuls - bring him back. Better than rotting in the reserves.
While everyone gets a little OTT with Garner, I think they are too harsh on ADebola and McG. Like Garner, they weren't going to contribute being brought on for cameos when the game was won or lost. As a result they both lost sharpness and form when they did start. I actually thought Adebola looked a handful at the start of the season.
Hopefully Jay Simpson will come in to give us a fresh option

exactly the point im making Forest7
I really think this means somones oming in. Honestly do people think we'd just let players going without a back up plan? Do we honestly think we are the only ones... and this is against those in the business, we are the only seeing whats ahppeneing? of course not.
and nice retarded contribution for the ever reliabley stupid biggrantholt

I was unsure about this one. Honestly don't know why we let him go. With McGoldrick injured, honestly thought Garner had a big chance coming his way. Then we go and loan him out.
It only takes Earnshaw to get his inevitable groin injury and we are left with just Dexter and Adebola.
Hopefully reinforcements will be in come the end of August.
