Toshiya Fujita returns to Japan
 

Toshiya Fujita leaves Utrecht after only 4 months of a 1 year loan deal.

It seems a bit strange as I believe that he had said recently that he was settled in Utrecht and I think that his family had joined him.

Is there more to this story and if so can somebody let me know. Or was he just unhappy to be on the bench?

His club, Jubilo Iwata is doing crap. Fujita was the best player in their team I think and now they are standing only 3th, they asked Toshiya Fujita to return to his club. They want him to bring their club back on the first place.

We got him for free on loan and it was a kind of gift from the Japanese club that they loaned out their captian. He played there for more than 10 years and this was their way to say thanks.
He had some problems with the dutch league, language, culture etc. etc. but he was a good player. If someone is injured he is a good replacement so the team don't become weaker...

He is loaned for a 1/2 year with a option to another 1/2 year.
They will not take this option.

I think he would like to stay but he can not ignore the call of his home.
