Another Fine victory today saw us narrowly beat stoke and the watford manager justified his recent loan signing again by bringing back Chris eagles who hit the winner.

We are now 11 points clear of struggling Luton who are now 12th..and 5 points clear of 7th place to keep us in the play offs.

Just win our home games now and a play off place is their for us..ashley young sits out one more game and carlisle will be back also.

Also news has broken that we are interested in signing Matt Jansen who has been released from his contract at Blackburn which will bolster the squad even more if he decides to come.

keep it up you horns..proved the so called pundits wrong that we will be relegated..what do they know??

e i e i e i o up the football league we go,when we get promoted this is what will sing we got marlon we got marlon....marlon is our KING..

Its good to watdh our neighbours slip back to where they belong..

yes jansen has now gone to Bolton for the rest of the season, his reason was he wanted to remain up north until a permanent deal is sorted out and a longer contract.

I say again... one eye on luton?

At one point Looton were 6 points ahead of us now we are some 11 points infront of you, just shows how consistant we have been during those 17 points, and if you think both clubs supporters dont keep an eye on each other then you must be mad,as the 1st aim is to avoid relegated(which everyone predicted),then come above our neighbours, which at the moment is looking more likely after each game.

Yep lutoon started well but then again most sides do when they 1st come up,then after that start to struggle, the same might be said about teams that come down as they need to find their feet..Norwich have been inconsistant and now palace are on a roll and I still think they will get promoted.

I've got a sneaky feeling Watford and Palace will contest the play-off final, Watford winning it.

leeds - watford final,

Although we are doing well i dont see us going all the way,our squad is to young and when experienced players get injuried or suspended we will suffer as they will be replaced by up and coming kids.

young, mcnamee, bangura are not even in their 20"s yet and may burn out.

Yes it is,the kids are wonderfull to watch, young is only in his 1st full season,Bangura is 17 years old and mcnamee is only a kid as well and is an ashmatic as well so needs constant treatment for it.

We are blooding more kids as well which is a tribute to how hard the backroom staff are working with the youth system.some of them are bypassing the reserves.

AB believes in if your good enough your old enough,if we can keep the same team together for a fewyears we could go places but we are a selling club and that will never change to balance the books.

Hi, i want to ask you if you remember that player who played in Wotford between January 1998 untill May 1999 and helped promote Wotford to the Premier League with Ronni Rosenthal. In recent interview of him he said that he was very good in the practises and he got a lot of signs he's going to start in the squad but he always start on the bench, did you enjoyed his service?

Thanks for your reply but let me correct you. His name is Alon Hazan as i have mentioned in the subject line.
Alon is Oak tree in Hebrew and Hazan is a Cantor.
Hazan is a family name of some of the Jews who came to Israel from Morroco.
Hassan is an Arab name although there are Jews with this family name.

PLayoffs are hell >_< Can remember at that QPR game...119 minutes of completely horrible football for Andy "Score 2 times in 2 Years For £1Million" Campbell score a cracking volley in the last minute of ET, hell if you lose, But way better feeling going up in playoffs than Automatic In my opinion!

Just heared Ronni Rosenthal couple of hours ago on the Israeli radio, he told that altough Wotford was his last station in his carrer and he didn't played much he enjoyed being there.I saw Wotford when they came to Israel to play against Hapoel Petach-Tikva in 1998 or 1999 if i'm not wrong, was it Graham Taylor it's Gafer those days? cause i think i saw him also in an interview in Israel those times. You know, Hazan has told that in the first days of him in Wotford his wife was answering the phone at his flat in London telling him that someone asking to talk with him on the phone and when she asked who is he, he answered that he's Elton John so she thought someone is running a joke over her and she closed the phone. She didn't knew that he's the owner of the club but Hazan knew and he ran to the phone and rang to the last call and cought Elton John and told him the story and asked his forgiveness.Ha, Ha. If Elton John is such a rich man why Wotford can't make a step up?
Is he spending a lot on the club?

tonyevans22
Jan 29 2006, 06:06 AM
Elton John is not the chairman of the club and has not been for a long while,he is a life president. He does not fiance the club at all,he has done a concert for us that raised 1 million pounds and has donated his tv advert money the club and still pays some of the players wages.

When jimmy davis died Elton offered any amount of money to fiance a new player and also helped towards jimmy davis"s funeral and paid for councellors for some players who were deeply affected by his death, one in particular was Danny webber who was jimmys best friend.

Elton paid paid Devlins wages and fianced the transfer.Elton helps out but does not have to.He owes the club nothing and we owe him for the magical years when Graham taylor was our manager.
