Well done to them! Hopefully they'll get some decent amount of money due to the replay.
yep definately will be there chairman was on the bbc and he said the game today the money they got was the same as 15 years worth of money its one of the reasons i love the f.a cup all that chase town squad hold down regular jobs so for them to pit there wits against a fully proffesional sides like oldham is what most of them dream about i think rounds 1 and 2 are among the best during the whole competition of the f.a cup

I agree. I loved watching Thurrock and Accrington play a few years ago.

I never really watch the FA cup in the early stages, but I have done with Forest and then with Chase town and going by what MTFC it is completely true, its fantastic for Chase town and im pleased for them, and with some of the scalps thats happened, ive really enjoyed watching the results and some of the games from round 1.
Hope there is more of the same in round 2.
They were showing it here, pretty good match. I also heard the commentator say that one of the Chasetown players was an ex premiership player, dont remember his name though.

Andy Turner. Mediocre for Palace about 10 years ago. Handy at that level tho.
Cheers mate, thats the fella.

Doubt it, all the big scalps should have ended now.
Oldham should now easily cruise to round 2.

Fans have spent more times on the pitch than the players during their cup run.....

You do know that the FA cup doesnt start at the first round - there are a few qualifying rounds first which chasetown got themselves through 8 matches (I think its 8)

There is four qualifying rounds then they enter the first round proper. IIRC. so that would have been 5.

Seeing as we played a team that had to qualify to get to the first round- yeah.
The Chasetown fans invaded the pitch after they qualified for the first round, after the draw (I think) and apparently after this loss.

I was actually wanting Oldham to win, having been in a position with Forest where there could of been a potential giant killing, I know that I wouldnt want anyone to suffer that fate, just let the small clubs enjoy there big day(s) out

I agree Tomm, it isnt nice for the bigger clubs to get turned over, hence why i hoped and wanted Oldham to win, and they got what they throughly deserved, a trip to round 2.

Nah I prefer the lower league clubs to get further. It's more exciting.
