Is Mertesacker good enough?

I agree somewhat. I dont think he is bad. I think he has talent but not what people make him out to be. Personally I think a guy like Manuel Friedrich is more talented, he just needs to get on a better side.

I am not a big fan of huge defenders, they are just not mobile enough. Of course there are always exceptions like Metzelder who is very quick despite being tall. Huth is another slow Giant.

Why don't you discuss the problems of the British team, I never see you posting there and you can't tell me that our NT is more important to you than the English NT.

I don't post in the Premiership forum because I watch more Bundesliga that Premiership as I live in Germany, and if you only want fellow members that say how good your national team is, even after shambolic performances recently, then sobeit, try kidding yourselves that your team is half-decent if you wish.

Fact is, Mertesacker has played rubbish recently, and I am posting my opinion, nothing more and nothing less. If you think he is the best defender in the history of football then you have the right to say it, even if you do have **** in your eyes. Maybe, from my neutral perspective, I see things a bit differently to you, somebody who thinks anybody who plays in a German shirt is a footballing God.

I promise to try to reduce my slagging off of German players immediately. Thought Frings' goal was wonderful last night, most spectacular penalty I have seen for ages! ;)

Wolf he played very very well in the Confed Cup for such a young player.
Only for Huth we might have won it.

You know with a player if he is class or not straight away and Per is.

AS I've said before if we get our best team out and all are in top form we can win the world cup.Metzelder's return will be a big big factor.

You only like Podolski b/c he's the type of striker like Rooney, and Kehl b/c he plays for BvB. You only seem to like those 2 or am i wrong?

Let Mertesacker have his little crisis. He's young and not some kind of roboter. Of course your Rooney never plays bad!
I see no sense in opening such threads after a young player had a few bad games. It's not fair, b/c especially Merte played in most of his BL games very good.

I never said he is the best defender in the world. I know that he didn't play good recently, but that doesn't change my opinion about him...i still believe in him ;)


I know why you don't watch the Premiership, but you never post in threads when England plays! German TV showed a few games of your national team ;) Pls explain to me!
