China is about the same level as England when it comes to international soccer achievement minus the fact that England won the world cup once 38 years ago(at the time when no one really cares) .:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Even Greece and Denmark has better football results for the past decades.

They are a team of technical monkeys. How hilarious was their game against Brazil in WC2002. Brazil were playing with 10 mean and still England couldnt touch the ball.

You are correct. Both teams have been playing like crap lately (Germany ar longer than England though). I am big German NT fan but if we go on pure potential the English NT can be very strong if they get their act together. Us on the other hand, we could put our best foot forward and still be in trouble. Praying for an easy passage to the QF in 2006.

Deisler, Oli Kahn, Schneider & Torsten were our best player tonight. Especially Deisler/Schneider worked hard. Deisler's crosses/fk's were fantastic :USA_Blue and he tricked a lot :D
Schneider was our playmaker tonight. Always there to pass and got the penalty.
Frings played good in the 2nd half and scored the penalty.

All in all this game was only there to get the confidence of the team back. We had playful problems, not much creativity, but it is definitely hard to play against a team with 8 defenders.

Metzelder's comeback was good. I think he is the man for our defense alongside Merte! Good to see him back :USA_Blue hope we'll see Lahm soon.

It wasn't the best game, the team goes through a little crisis...tough I expacted that after the great Confed-Cup game.

good to see Metzelder back.. he's kind of CB who will not stagger with the likes of Ronaldo, Schevchenko, Adriano, etc.. they are all just another striker to him.. the same cannot be said of Huth and Mertesacker, where sometimes we can see that their nerves got the better of them.. Friedrich is another, but he's more useful at RB..

I watched the match until it ended. Last time, I saw many criticisms against Diesler and I am now really relieved when I saw his good performance in the game. However, I think both the Pig and Poldi performed badly last night. They could seldom threaten China's defence. I don't think that Klins should be satisfied with the team's performance.
