You know it makes sense. :clap
He has the experience, is still relatively young (Maybe Klinsi thinks anybody older than 21 is a veteran) and he is in the form of his life. He is also a winner, not like that pussy Frings.

You put it very delicate. But I agree Kehl deserves his chance.
When a Hitzlsperger is in a team, well.... enough said.
And I would like to see the combination of Metzelder and Kehl in the team. Both are character players. They could be the cornerstones of a strong defense. Emphasis on could!

For sure Kehl deserves a chanse.
Maybe even Ricken deserves a chanse because he has a great seasone so far.

No, not Ricken I am afraid.
Kehl on the other hand is a class option.

Klinsi should exclude Owomostupidaa + Schneider + Ernst + Schulz + Kuranyi + Hamann from his selections
and he should pick Christoph Metzelde + Christian Worns + Sebastian Kehl + Benjamin Lauth to the national team

Lauth from Hamburg reserve bench ?

Lauth from Hamburg reserve bench ?
Even so, I still rate him much higher than Kuryani. Kurayni has shown at both club level and NT that he is not a top player. He will have 1 good game out of 4 or 5 which is unacceptable.

Unfortunately that one good game was against Dortmund! :(

Kehl proved himself at WC 2002 what more do they want?
sure at start of last season he had a bit of an anger problem, but some of that may stem from his exclusion from the NT..
but right now he is one of the top German Defensive Midfielders and a proven leader on the pitch. also he can tackle pretty well and does ok in a defensive role also.
although i dont mind Ernst i think that Kehl is superior to him in all defensive categories and more closely represents the german mentality of "never give up"

Germany boss Jurgen Klinsmann says he will not change his World Cup plans despite Saturday's disappointing performance in Istanbul against Turkey.
The 2006 World Cup hosts put in one of their worst displays under Klinsmann and were lucky to leave the Turkish capital with only a 2-1 defeat.
"The first half especially was nothing. The co-ordination between the midfield players and the defenders just didn't work at all and the Turks should have been two or three goals up at half time," said Klinsmann.
"Of course I got a bit loud during the break, but we are not going to change our ambition of winning the World Cup next year as that would send out all the wrong signals.
''If we did we would be telling the team that we no longer believe in them."
With the euphoria from last summer's Confederations Cup performances long gone, Klinsmann said he is prepared to face criticism, but is convinced that his side are still on course for a decent World Cup showing.
"The current criticism is justified, but we won't be burying our heads in the sand," he concluded.

Yup, gotta agree. Kehl is a class player and true leader. He looked good in Korean/Japan and has good experience, not to mention he is still young. Why in the love of god would you pick Ernst or Hitzlesperger over him?!?!?!?
Also Volz should replace Owoyomela.

And Fathi should replace that stupid Hitzlsperger as well. He is simply Sh!te!

Weigelt from Mainz impressed me against Sevilla. He crosses very well, naturally left footed, decent pace and beat defenders a few times.

If a guy like Hitzlsperger and Owomoyela got a chance to play so why not Kehl? He is younger and more energetic than that old Hamann.

One question guys. If our DM position is sooo full (Hamann, Ernst, Borowski, Frings & so), then can we experiment with Kehl as a CB? I know he played as a sweeper before in Dortmund.

Except Fathi actually plays every game for Hertha (over 50 BL games so far) and is the starting LB for the U-21 team. He plays with Freiderich so that chemistry is already there for those two to play together in the backline for the NT.

No, that's Dejagah. Fathi really wants to play for the NT and there's an article about it on the Hertha site.

How good is this Fathi?

Fathi's good, but not "that" good. Comparison between Fathi & Weigelt shows no big difference. Only that Fathi's a regular at a decent & famous club. This might add to his experience. But in the end I don't see either as an international German left winger...

Considering he doesn't play left wing...
