ATM it's 2:1

Klose scored. The ref gave Pan. A. a questionable penalty :nono and a few minutes after that they scored the 2nd goal. Very unlucky, but i hope Bremen score at least another goal.

MEh, you could still win or draw the following matches.

Thats it for Werder I'm afraid. I saw the game and after they got back into the game with Klose's goal they looked good until half time. After the break they were outclassed by a poor Panathanaikos team. It just wasn't good enough and Werder looked mediocre.

They won't get a result in the Nou Camp, and the games against Udinese will be tough. I can't see them doing it. Even qualifying for the UEFA Cup will now be difficult.

What's even more bizarre is they got rid of Ismael and they are still drawing penalty shots!!! :nono

Bremens coach Thomas Schaff is man who likes open play :USA_Blue and in CL where clubs are pretty good in strategy that is in most keyses deadly :drinkbeer

I take exception to calling PAO a poor team. We are nowhere near where we were three years ago but we arent a poor team, more like average.

Accept what you're saying but by Champions League standards you were poor. Werder will see their two group games against you as their easiest games in a group with Barcelona and a top Serie A team. I'm sorry, but if you can't beat Panathanaikos, you aint gonna get very far in Europe.

remember leverkusen in 2002? beaten 0-4 and 1-4 by Juve and Arsenal respectively.. yet they progressed and became the eventual runner-up.. even in the final they were better than real madrid as a team.. only a moment of brilliance from zidane separates them from the glory..

i don't see very much relation between bremen and leverkusen of 2002.. but if u guys remember, leverkusen was very strong at home in that season's CL.. bremen? the way i see it, they can be beaten anywhere..
