Thoughts on the signing of Brian Deane
personally i think the coach is s*** bringing these english players with no credentials but we shall see
Just landed in Perth few days ago, says this isn't about the money, 'It's purely about having fun with football now and trying to improve himself!'

no its not about the money is it, if he wanted money he'd have stayed in england, good luck to him, cant wait to see him play
Same. A friend at school today said, "Heard this Brian Deane guys preaty good."
I told him that he played for Leeds Utd last year, and that the age wasn't a factor (keeps himself in great shape), he's a good tall target and knows what to do (scored 4 goals in one game against QPR last season).
The thing that was hurting him was constant playing time, he just kept falling down the pecking order at whichever club he went to, but I'm sure he'll have the number 1 job now in Perth.
Of course, my friend was in awe and marvel at the football knowledge that was cascading from my mouth! ;)

brian deane was a good striker in his day. didnt do too much on fri night but he only landed in oz days earlier. lets give him a couple of weeks to settle in.
I think he played great. Not too quick off the mark, but he got to every header due to his size and strength.
Could of weeks and Deano could be setting the league on fire!
