Draw plots route to Intertoto final

Two former European champions from the Bundesliga - BV Borussia Dortmund and Hamburger SV - could face off in the UEFA Intertoto Cup semi-finals after the draw for the deciding rounds was made today.
Third-round ties
Dortmund enter the competition in the third round this weekend with the first leg of a tie against SK Sigma Olomouc. Hamburg beat FK Pobeda to earn a match with Portugal's UD Leiria, and if both German teams come through they will meet in the semi-finals on 27 July and 3 August.
Potential final
Another potential semi-final encounter between one-time European trophy winners involves Olympique de Marseille - provided they defeat BSC Young Boys, they will play either Tampere United or the last UEFA Cup Winners' Cup holders S.S. Lazio. The eventual victors of that semi-final will tackle one from RC Deportivo La Coruña, NK Slaven Koprivnica, FK ZTS Dubnica or Newcastle United FC in one of the three finals, all carrying a place in the UEFA Cup first round as reward.
