For those of you that haven't visited 'fortress' meres, it is infact an athletics stadium (i know, we don't like it either) and we got battered by the strong winds over sunday. Apparently one of the big metal covers for the high jump crash mat was blown clean off and knocked one set of goalposts over!! These things are heavy as my cousin has worked there and it takes 3 people to just lift them!

Fortunately they've been fixed in time for our DM cup against Histon tomorrow night. But if had been unrepairable you could only imagine the headlines........

makes the incorrect height of goalposts seem virtually trivial - only in non-league!!!!

Crewie, if you get to see Jamie Clarke play you won't be disappointed - pacy, good movement and an eye for goal - scored an opportunist goal at the weekend.

Apparently he's going back to Crewe for another trial as the game he was supposed to play in got called off.
