Graeme Souness says he would consider taking civil action against the Football Association if he felt he was being unfairly treated.
The Blackburn boss is still furious at being given a three-match touchline ban following an incident during the game against Liverpool earlier in the season.
Souness claims he never used foul and abusive language towards the referee but decided against appealing against the ban.
He said: "I'm extremely disappointed with the ban but I will take it this time.
"But if I felt this way again, I would take it as far as I possibly could.
"If that meant going outside football I would do it because I've been treated badly.
"People who I listen to and respect advise me to let it go this time, given where we are in the season."
Souness was incensed at what he saw was an elbow by Liverpool striker Emile Heskey in the direction of one of his players.
He was sent to the stand after making comments to the referee on the touchline.
Souness said: "It wasn't abusive language, it wasn't even a heated debate. I just made a comment that Emile Heskey led with his elbow."

Souness needs to watch himself, he gives it too much.
That wont be the first touchline ban he gets this season so i cant see how he could take action against the FA.

Souness was a great player and is a good manager but as a man he is an absolute tosser. Why can't he just take his punishment like man and not a moaning housewife?
