Giovanni Trapattoni has been appointed as the new coach of Stuttgart.
Stuttgart have been on the lookout for a new coach since Matthias Sammer's departure earlier this month and they admitted Trapattoni would be a dream appointment.
Trapattoni has been out of work after deciding to quit Benfica at the end of the season having guided them to the Portuguese title.
The 66-year-old is highly-rated in Germany after a successful spell with Bayern Munich in the past.
Trapattoni is set to be unveiled on Friday and he is reported to have agreed a two-year deal at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion.
